"Everyone's gone, stop looking."
Wang Yuyan walked up to Qin Xuan and nudged his elbow. "Don't you have anything you want to tell me?"
Qin Xuan didn't answer, but glanced towards Qin Lin.
"Linlin," Ren Qixiang understood, linking arms with Qin Lin and laughing. "Sister will take you back."
"Brother?" Qin Lin blinked her big eyes, wondering what secret she wasn't privy to.
"Go on, go back with your Sister Qixiang." Qin Xuan walked over and dotingly stroked Qin Lin's small head. "Okay."
Qin Lin's small face immediately drooped, and she dejectedly followed Ren Qixiang back.
"I have some company matters to attend to." Guan Rou, wearing high heels, walked over a few steps and cast a meaningful glance at Qin Xuan. "I'll be heading back too. Call me if you need anything, I'm always available."
"Drive carefully on your way," Wang Yuyan called out. "Be safe."
"Mm."
Until Guan Rou disappeared from their sight, Qin Xuan still felt something was off. "What did she mean just now?"
Wang Yuyan chuckled. "What Sister Rou meant, don't you know?"
Qin Xuan frowned and sighed. "Don't know what?"
Wang Yuyan raised her eyebrows, spread her hands, and said, "You saved her, the damsel in distress. Don't let Sister Rou's alluring figure fool you, she's actually quite girlish."
Qin Xuan opened his mouth, but said nothing more.
"This isn't the place to talk," Wang Yuyan grabbed Qin Xuan's arm. "Let's go."
Qin Xuan looked at Wang Yuyan and let her pull him out of the airport. Tantai Yue had gone abroad, and only Wang Yuyan was left in Jiangbei. Could he be impartial?
Driving a Ferrari, Wang Yuyan sped down the road.
"Slow down, be careful."
Qin Xuan watched the scenery blur past the window, his eyes unfocused and dazed. Wang Yuyan glanced at Qin Xuan from the corner of her eye, let out a soft hum, and slammed on the brakes, swerving to the side of the road to park.
"Do you really have nothing you want to say to me?"
"Say what?"
Qin Xuan was a bit absent-minded, staring blankly out the window.
"Qin Xuan!" Wang Yuyan called out, lowering her head. "Tell me what's wrong, please don't be like this."
Qin Xuan turned to look at Wang Yuyan, sighed, and reached out to wipe away the tears on her cheeks. "I don't blame you."
"Really?" Wang Yuyan looked up, her face pale, and looked at Qin Xuan. "I can explain. Sending Tantai to manage overseas markets was a board resolution, a shareholder's requirement, and currently, she's the only one I can trust..."
After Wang Yuyan finished speaking, she threw herself into Qin Xuan's arms, sobbing uncontrollably.
"I know."
Qin Xuan's eyes were full of tenderness as he gently stroked Wang Yuyan's long, dark hair, again and again.
"You don't know! These past two days, you've been distant and acting like a different person!" Wang Yuyan cried harder and harder, her emotions overflowing.
"Tantai is gone, and overseas isn't that simple. I'm worried she won't be able to handle it." Qin Xuan finished speaking and sighed.
Hearing this, Wang Yuyan's whole body trembled involuntarily. She pulled herself out of Qin Xuan's embrace. "You still blame me, Qin Xuan! I want to explain, why won't you listen?"
"Yuyan, how could I blame you?" Qin Xuan sighed helplessly. "It's just that there's something I haven't figured out how to tell you yet."
Upon hearing this, Wang Yuyan felt as if she was losing her balance, her heart plummeting. She had a hunch that what Qin Xuan was about to say might not be good news.
"Are... are you going to leave me?" Wang Yuyan's voice, choked with tears and barely audible, sent a shiver through Qin Xuan's heart.
"No, I would never leave you, it's just..."
"Just what?"
Qin Xuan looked at Wang Yuyan's tear-streaked face and, for a moment, couldn't bear to face her. He quickly turned his head to look out the window.
"I'm planning to... go to the capital."
