Chapter 309 Living in Fear

Feng Chenxiong held countless secrets of Liu Junjiang in his hands.

Previously, when Tianxu Group and Ningyue Group were cooperating with Wang's Group at the same time, Liu Junjiang and Feng Chenxiong were the closest.

Being close naturally meant knowing more about each other's affairs.

Now that Wang Yuyan personally requested it, Feng Chenxiong had to act against him.

Within three days, Tianxu Group's stock plummeted, and information about the group's past opportunistic and illegal activities was also leaked by Feng Chenxiong.

Liu Junjiang, meanwhile, was living in constant fear, worried that more serious information would be exposed by Feng Chenxiong.

If that happened, he figured the police would come to invite him for tea.

These past few days, Liu Junjiang had been living in trepidation. Even hearing a police siren made him think they were coming to arrest him, and his mental state was close to breaking. He didn't even dare to ask the household nanny, who eventually resigned.

Just as he arrived at the company entrance, Liu Junjiang got out of his car and saw a police car drive by. He quickly shut the car door.

The new driver, seeing this, looked utterly bewildered.

"Chairman, what's wrong? Why are you afraid of a police car?"

Because he was new and didn't know Liu Junjiang's temper, this simple question offended him. The previous driver had been fired just two days prior for a similar reason.

Liu Junjiang glanced at the driver, then quickly opened the car door and ran into the company as if fleeing a disaster, as if being chased by wild wolves.

The assistant, who was organizing documents, was startled by the sound of the door slamming shut.

"Chairman, what happened?" the assistant asked, confused.

Only when he ran to the floor-to-ceiling window and saw the police car drive away did Liu Junjiang feel a sense of relief, slumping into his executive chair.

The assistant didn't dare to ask further and left the office with his belongings.

The secretary at the door saw the assistant emerge and asked,

"Do you think our chairman has a problem here?"

She tapped her forehead with her finger.

The assistant glanced at Liu Junjiang inside the office and lowered his voice, saying,

"Go back to work and don't ask too many questions. Many people have been fired recently. Say the wrong thing, and you might be fired too."

Their chairman had been unpredictable lately, and the assistant was afraid their conversation might be overheard, so he pulled the secretary away.

Liu Junjiang tried hard to control his emotions. He couldn't appear too agitated in front of his employees; it would compromise his dignity.

Fortunately, the day had passed without any major incidents, and Liu Junjiang breathed a sigh of relief.

After a day of anxiety, Liu Junjiang saw that the sky had darkened. He left the group and headed to the Western restaurant he frequented.

Just as he arrived at the entrance of the Western restaurant, Liu Junjiang spotted an old acquaintance.

Feng Chenxiong had also just arrived at the Western restaurant, and they met by chance.

"Well, Mr. Liu, coming for dinner so late? Dare not come during the day?" Feng Chenxiong said sarcastically.

Liu Junjiang's face turned the color of a pig's liver. He glared fiercely at Feng Chenxiong and wanted to leave.

This scoundrel, who had taken so many benefits from him in the past, was now stabbing him in the back.

"I heard your group's stock has plummeted recently. Seeing your worried expression, it seems to be true," Feng Chenxiong blocked his path and asked knowingly.

"Feng Chenxiong, don't think I'm a pushover! Don't push me too far, or I'll drag you down with me!" Liu Junjiang roared.

Feng Chenxiong was unfazed.

"Liu, who did you think was a good person to provoke? You had to provoke our Wang's Group's chairman. Now, I'm merely following our chairman's orders to appropriately suppress Tianxu Group. Don't be ungrateful. I still have leverage over those matters of yours. Otherwise, *hmph*."

"You!" Liu Junjiang's face turned blue with anger. He flicked his hand, let out a cold snort, and walked into the Western restaurant.
