Chapter 228 Bull Demon King’s family of three 1_1

Chapter 228: 228 Bull Demon King’s family of three 1_1

All five Spirit Card Masters had received information about Wen Jiang.

Di Yantang and Li Huijun were both proactive about it; naturally, juniors like Xu Dongcheng and Peng Fenglai followed their lead.

Only Yin Tianxiao was suspicious of Wen Jiang’s background during the meeting.

It was Li Huijun who said that such matters were under the Empire’s supervision, so there was no need for them to worry, thereby quelling Yin Tianxiao’s dissatisfaction.

But Peng Fenglai knew that Yin Tianxiao had already set his sights on Wen Jiang.

She warned Hua Zhuo, hoping only that Hua Zhuo would be prepared. After all, given that Yin Tianxiao was from the Jimo Family, he might not do anything directly. However, if Wen Jiang encountered any trouble, someone like Yin Tianxiao would most likely kick them while they were down.

In Peng Fenglai’s view, Yin Tianxiao’s talent wasn’t high. He had been a UR-Level Spirit Card Master for years, yet he had only ever produced the one SSR Card from when he had first advanced.

Because he was UR Rank, few people questioned him.

However, Peng Fenglai felt there was something strange about Yin Tianxiao’s ability to become a UR-Level Spirit Card Master.

But strength doesn’t lie, and she lacked solid evidence.

The Jimo Family does things far too conspicuously.

Even Song Ji had mentioned, implicitly and explicitly, that many were unhappy with the heir’s conduct lately.

Sometimes, being too good can also be a sin.

As time passed, the hype over Mount Flower’s victory gradually stabilized. However, from the pre-order numbers, it was clear that many were looking forward to the card’s merchandise.

Many people wanted to interview Wen Jiang, but Hua Zhuo tactfully rejected all of them.

It wasn’t until the pre-sale of Mount Flower was about to begin that there was finally movement in the Card Making Pool.

Wen Jiang opened her eyes and exhaled lightly.

As she had predicted, her speed at producing A-Rank Cards was increasing, and the Spiritual Energy inside her was surging.

The only barrier to reaching S Rank is likely the need to make an SSR Card for a breakthrough.

Her cultivation was progressing faster than before, likely because she was a soul transmigrant, effectively arriving with a Primordial Spirit, so she only needed to consolidate her cultivation.

But she was pressed for time. With the pre-sale of Mount Flower’s card about to start, she still had the Empress Card Set to make. Exactly what SSR Card to create was not yet decided, and she needed to reserve sufficient time for it, so this warranted some careful thought.

Looking at the three A-Rank Cards she had produced, Wen Jiang felt quite satisfied.

The first was the Bull Demon King, Brother Monkey’s good friend from ’Journey to the West,’ though they had initially met in combat.

The Bull Demon King was a Dual-Change Card; its prototype could transform into a white bull that could reach the sky. Also known as the Mighty Bull, in its prototype state, it possessed incredible strength, capable of rivaling ten-thousand-ton boulders. In its pure bull form, the Bull Demon King was like a nuclear weapon with explosive killing power. Like Hou Yi, if it charged forward and the Spirit Card Master handled it correctly, it would most certainly instantly kill any Card Spirit of the same rank.

The Bull Demon King was very difficult to kill. Wen Jiang initially wanted to make this a passive ability for the Bull Demon King, such as reviving once after taking fatal damage, but the world’s will did not recognize it.

Perhaps the ability was too overpowered; by A-Level standards, a card couldn’t possess that much strength?

Unable to make it happen, Wen Jiang didn’t insist and simply transferred this state to its humanoid form, which turned out to be successful.

In his human form, the Bull Demon King is a middle-aged man with a face like a jade statue, clad in armor. He rides his mount, the Bishui Jinqing Beast, and is brave and skilled in battle, though his damage output is slightly lower than in his prototype form. Additionally, due to the Bishui Jinqing Beast’s traits, the human-form Bull Demon King can resist some damage from water-type cards and is unaffected by water-type control abilities. If dealt a lethal blow, the Bishui Jinqing Beast will take the hit for him. Losing his mount significantly diminishes the Bull Demon King’s killing power, but this doesn’t prevent him from transforming back into his prototype form.

This ability is still quite overpowered. Where is it overpowered? Even without the mount, the Bull Demon King can revert to his prototype form, and when the Spirit Card Master’s spiritual power has slightly recovered, the mount can be summoned again.

That’s right, his ability naturally counters Hou Yi!

Because Hou Yi relies on fierce, instantaneous kills, a single arrow won’t defeat the Bull Demon King. However, with sustained attacks, the Bull Demon King cannot withstand them.

However, in terms of card battle tactics, he is considered a counter to Hou Yi’s cards.

For example, while other cards would struggle to withstand a blow under Hou Yi’s strong control, the Bull Demon King can. He can instantly transform into his human form to take Hou Yi’s arrow, then immediately revert to his prototype bull form to kill Hou Yi.

The Bull Demon King’s passive ability is to resist some water-type damage. Against him, the water-type abilities of the Four Heavenly Kings are rendered ineffective.

Of course, this doesn’t mean he is invincible. The Bull Demon King only has special abilities in human form. In his prototype form, his water immunity is useless, its damage output is high, but its speed is slower than an average card. All in all, each form has its trade-offs, depending on how the Spirit Card Master utilizes them.

Wen Jiang thought, Satisfied, extremely satisfied!

The Iron Fan Princess was even easier to create.

Despite being from the Demon Race, she did not need to be made into a Dual-Change Card.

The Iron Fan Princess is the wife of the Bull Demon King, also known as Rakshasa Girl. She owns a magical artifact called the Banana Palm Fan.

One fan wave extinguishes fire, a second brings forth wind, and a third calls down rain.

This ability is truly made to counter the Four Heavenly Kings.

Wen Jiang had always enjoyed admiring beauty. So, unless she was working with a pre-existing specific impression, she generally preferred to make her cards embody beauty.

The Iron Fan Princess was no exception, portrayed as a beautiful woman holding a life-sized green Banana Palm Fan.

When it comes to cards, the better they look, the easier it is to sell merchandise.

The Iron Fan Princess was made into a Strong Control Card. The Banana Palm Fan possesses three corresponding abilities. The first fan wave grants allies a ’Protective Wind’ state, immunizing them from fire damage for a prolonged duration. Imagine, under this state, Mo Liqing’s fire abilities would be rendered useless!

The second fan wave creates a roaring gale that can forcefully displace all Card Spirits. Due to its overwhelming power, its duration is very short—only one second.

But if timed accurately, it can directly interrupt the opponent’s ability activation.

That’s right, ability activation!

If Wen Jiang had possessed the Iron Fan Princess card during that competition, the Temple of the Gods would have been defeated even faster.

The third fan wave can cause torrential rain to fall from the sky in a designated area. This rain differs from the water-type abilities of the Four Heavenly Kings. It is so heavy that it obscures vision, temporarily blinding affected Card Spirits for two seconds. This effect is somewhat similar to the Dandelion Card Wen Jiang had used.

Imagine pairing this card with an assassin card! By the time one opens their eyes, the assassin card could already be right in front of them. That would be a truly heart-pounding experience!

However, this ability was too heaven-defying. Since it directly invoked rain in a designated area, Wen Jiang’s attempts to give it a larger range were unsuccessful. If she forced it, she could expand the area somewhat, but other Spirit Card Masters might not be able to use this ability as effectively.

Moreover, the rain has a delay; it only falls after one second, giving some Card Spirits a chance to survive.

After all, this isn’t like the Dandelion Card, where the small dandelions themselves have to fly over to find an opportunity. This ability is almost an instant cast in a designated spot. Most Card Spirits couldn’t withstand such an unpredictable attack, so imposing some restrictions was normal.
