Chapter 225 Hardcore Exchange_1

Chapter 225: 225 Hardcore Exchange_1

Products from Card Associations with good performance records sold well. Those from associations without such records naturally performed averagely.

Now that Mount Flower had the Founding Emperor Card Set, the next step was to launch the Phoenix set. Pricing the Champion Card Set posed a challenge.

A card worth 20 Yunxia Currency already has a significant profit margin, Wen Jiang thought for a moment. "Set it at 500 Yunxia Currency per set."

"500?" That was practically the lowest price on the market.

Even ordinary associations didn’t sell A-Rank Card peripherals that low.

And that was for a set of twenty cards.

Wen Jiang just smiled. "With blind boxes, sales will be terrifying. Pricing it too high would be less interesting. Put the signature editions in there too, so the lucky ones can get them."

This also gave passersby who weren’t particularly interested a reason to buy a set, on the off chance of getting a signature edition. If they managed to pull one, they could profit by selling it privately amongst themselves.

People have a gambling mentality, and the blind box format would firmly capture their interest. Moreover, Wen Jiang’s approach was quite conscientious; she was indeed releasing complete sets for sale without deliberately omitting any cards, merely distributing them widely—available not just domestically but also internationally.

Even those aiming for the gimmick of exchanging them for an A-Level Competition Card Spirit would frantically buy them in pursuit of a full set.

These were tactics Wen Jiang had learned from her own world’s experience.

Tang Qian quickly understood. The Founding Emperor Card Set was no different; despite not having any limited editions yet, it sold like crazy simply because people wanted to complete a set.

The Champion Card Set was also complete, with the small bonus cards inside becoming the key to collection.

Tang Qian gave Wen Jiang a thumbs-up and returned to the company to discuss the matter with management.

As a coach, these matters weren’t typically her responsibility, but she had a good relationship with Wen Jiang. The management team didn’t quite dare to approach Wen Jiang directly, so most things were relayed through her, the coach.

After settling the card peripheral matters, Wen Jiang also informed Yan Moling. How could Yan Moling disagree, knowing she could obtain authorization for the Four Heavenly Kings and Su Daji Card?

Of course, Yan Moling still had to report this to her superiors. Since Wen Jiang was about to start making the cards, they would wait for Wen Jiang’s input after she was ready before making a final decision.

The competition had just ended, and card popularity was at its absolute peak. Everyone was discussing the results, and all sorts of news were flying around.

The Card Associations that lost in this year’s matches were somewhat dejected. However, everyone was still keeping an eye on the Mount Flower Association, curious about how they would sell their merchandise after winning the championship.

Based on feedback from the matches, many people were interested in purchasing the Su Daji peripherals.

As long as they weren’t selling Card Spirits themselves, there was no need to be secretive about these peripheral cards.

At this moment, the Temple of the Gods released the prices for their S Rank card peripherals.

When the eager fans saw the prices, they were momentarily dumbfounded.

A standard set of their Champion Card Set was priced at 10,000 Yunxia Currency.

The signature edition was 100,000 Yunxia Currency per set, limited to only 100 sets, with pre-orders opening immediately.

First come, first served.

One could only imagine how the price of these limited signature editions would be hyped up.

"A standard set for 10,000? Have you guys lost your minds?! Do you really think everyone is loaded?!"

"A piece of not-so-great quality paper... selling for 10,000 a set! Your conscience is truly rotten to the core!"

"They’ve doubled the price! It seems the A-Rank Group losing has made the Temple of the Gods go crazy too."

"This is just the regular version! Will the limited edition skyrocket to tens of millions this year? Making money off card merchandise is so easy. I used to curse Mount Flower for their crappy blind boxes, but now that I think about it, 20 Yunxia Currency per card was actually really conscientious..."

"Trash Temple of the Gods! Just ripping off the fans because you lost, right?"

"Don’t be so harsh. The Temple of the Gods is the S Rank champion. They only lost in the A-Rank Group!"

Due to differing tax rates in the three major Empires, these foreign cards incurred additional taxes when circulated domestically, making their selling price even higher.

With the Temple of the Gods setting such prices, other major Card Associations followed suit, all raising their prices this year.

Perhaps they were beaten silly by Mount Flower in the World Championship and were now looking to fiercely harvest a wave of profit from card peripherals by jacking up prices.

Although it wasn’t just Yunxia residents buying these card peripherals, even their own citizens were cursing the outrageous price hikes.

But fans of card peripherals had no choice; they cursed while still placing their pre-orders.

The Yunxia associations, on the other hand, hadn’t raised prices much, maintaining the original prices from previous years. This year, the Broken Heart A-Rank Group, which won runner-up, even included benefits in their card sets.

The only one yet to make a move was Mount Flower. Many people were asking on their official account when their card peripherals would go on sale. They wanted to buy the Su Daji Card!

Not long after, Mount Flower’s official account finally made a move, and it was a bombshell right from the start.

Mount Flower Card Factory: Greetings, everyone! After a long wait, Mount Flower’s Champion Card Set for this year will go on sale in half a month, still using the blind box format.

1. The Champion Card Set (89th World Championship A-Level Champion) contains 21 cards (including peripherals for two forms of the Su Daji Card) and will be sold as a set for 500 Yunxia Currency.

2. Individual cards will be sold for 30 Yunxia Currency each, also in blind box format, and will not include small bonus cards.

3. In the blind boxes for the card sets, we’ve added Q-version small bonus cards of all A-Rank Cards created by Mount Flower since its inception. Each blind box card set will contain two random small bonus cards. Collect a full set of these small bonus cards (totaling 178 competition-grade small cards and skin-variant small cards) to apply to exchange them for any one of 178 A-Level Competition Card Spirits (including Match Cards from the current competition). Collect 10 sets of small bonus cards to exchange for one Mount Flower SSR-Rank Competition Card Spirit. Collect 100 sets of small bonus cards to request a Mount Flower Card Maker to custom-design an SSR Card Spirit for you (copyright shared with the Mount Flower Association).

4. 100 limited edition signed sets will be randomly distributed within the same blind boxes as the standard version.

5. Thank you all for your support!

-Damn, damn! 500 a set! 500 a set!! Am I seeing things? Have you all gone mad?!

-Wait? You can actually custom-make SSR Cards?! Damn it, where did your Card Maker get that kind of skill? You guys didn’t even produce an SSR Card yourselves this year, did you?!

-Did I miss a zero?

-Holy crap, they’re being so conscientious this year.

-Although it’s still that damn annoying blind box format, I didn’t expect them to release the entire set. That’s relatively conscientious. I won’t bother with the small bonus cards; looks like they can be sold for a good price, hehe.

-They actually dare to offer custom-made SSR-level Cards... If they can’t deliver, won’t that cause a huge problem?

-Wait, a set is 500 Yunxia Currency, and you only get two of those damn annoying small bonus cards. That means even if you’re super lucky and get different ones every time, you’d need to buy 89 sets to collect all 178 small bonus cards? That’s nearly 45,000! Absolutely terrifying!

-What are you even thinking, person above? 45,000 for a full collection of small bonus cards is the Eurocrats’ price! Do you really think you’ll get unique cards in all 89 sets? A single A-Rank Card Spirit actually costs millions. There’s no way it’s that cheap. Just watch, the price of these small bonus cards will definitely skyrocket.

-They dare to offer A-Level Match Cards as exchange items... I’m so confused. What powerful Card Association doesn’t hide its trump cards? Does this mean the Card Spirits for the Four Heavenly Kings and Su Daji can also be applied for exchange?
