Chapter 48: Julian Has Recovered
While Julian was being examined, Lia put the handgun back in her skirt pocket, then crossed her arms and stared at him silently. Her gaze was sharp, full of curiosity.
"This kid’s fighting style is brutal, and his physical strength is on par with an adult’s... Who exactly is this kid? What kind of training has he undergone to possess such strength?" Lia thought, narrowing her eyes at Julian as he was being examined.
After a moment, Lia sighed, then turned around and began to stare at Bonang.
"... If I’m not mistaken, the last time I saw such brutal fighting was when Bonang betrayed his master" Lia thought to herself, staring at Bonang, who was still holding his nose.
Bonang opened his eyes and saw Lia staring at him. He stood up, then approached Lia and said,
"What’s wrong, Lia?. Do you want to apologize?" Bonang asked, smiling and holding Lia’s right shoulder.
While Bonang was yapping, Lia closed her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest, thinking to herself.
"Haaa... he used to look cruel, but now he’s so ridiculous!" Lia thought, annoyed.
"I’ll forgive you, b-but... kiss—" Bonang said, not finishing her sentence.
"BAAAMMM!!!" Lia hit Bonang hard on the chin with her right hand.
The blow immediately sent Bonang flying, screaming.
"GWAHHH!!!" Bonang screamed with a smile.
Bonang was immediately thrown 15 meters. Julian, who witnessed the scene, could only laugh awkwardly. Then he asked Lavendina
"By the way, Ms. Lavendina, who was the man Lia punched?" Julian asked.
Lavendina, who was injecting vitamins into Julian’s right arm.
"His name is Bonang Kophiang. He’s a former national boxing champion and former number one in the underworld" Lavendina replied.
"W-what number one?!!" Julian asked, immediately shocked.
"Yes" Lavendina replied, removing the syringe from Julian’s left arm.
"T-then why is he here?!" Julian asked in a panic.
"Fufufufu, don’t worry, there’s no need to panic" Lavendina replied with a chuckle.
"O-Of course I’m panicking, he’s ranked first!" Julian said, still panicking.
Lavendina held Julian’s left shoulder and replied.
"Don’t worry, Bonang is on our side" Lavendina replied.
"Our side?" Julian said with a confused expression.
Lavendina looked at Bonang, who was still unconscious—feeling happy after being punched by Lia.
"Yes, he’s on our side because of love" Lavendina replied.
"Love?" Julian said, confused.
Julian started to look at Bonang, who was still unconscious, and soon saw Lia approaching Bonang and kicking him awake.
"!!!!!" Julian’s eyes widened, realizing the reason.
Julian looked at Lavendina and said.
"Don’t tell me..." Julian said, shocked.
Lavendina nodded her head and answered.
"Yes, it’s just as you think... Bonang is in love with Lia" Lavendina replied.
Julian immediately widened his eyes and muttered.
"Wow... I didn’t expect that..." Julian muttered in surprise as he stared at Bonang and Lia.
Julian turned back to Lavendina.
"So, are those two dating?" Julian asked.
"Not yet" Lavendina replied quickly, smiling.
"What?, Why?" Julian asked with a confused expression.
Lavendina looked at Bonang and Lia, then answered.
"I don’t know either, maybe because Lia doesn’t trust Bonang 100% yet" Lavendina replied.
"Hee... I see" Julian said with a dumbfounded expression as he stared at Bonang and Lia.
Julian tried to look into the alley, confused about where the thugs had disappeared to. He finally turned to Lavendina.
"Ms. Lavendina, where did the thugs go?" Julian asked.
"Oh, them? They’ve been taken away by the police—Lia was the one who called police" Lavendina replied.
"WHAT?! WHY WERE THEY TAKEN AWAY SO SOON?!" Julian shouted in panic.
"What’s wrong?" Lavendina asked, puzzled.
Hearing Julian’s scream, Lia stopped kicking Bonang’s body.
"What’s wrong?" Lia asked from a distance.
"It looks like Julian has something to tell us" Lavendina replied, looking at Julian.
Lia began walking toward Julian. Once she was near him, Lia asked.
"What story?" Lia asked.
Julian looked at Lia, then lowered his gaze and began to cross his legs, then began to tell his story.
After 15 minutes of telling the story.
"I see... I understand," Lia said, cupping her chin with her right hand.
Lia lowered her right hand from her chin, crouched down, and then placed her hand on Julian’s right shoulder.
"Don’t worry, because the Jakarta police are in cooperation with our family" Lia said softly.
"Are you serious?!" Julian asked.
Lia smiled and nodded her head.
"Thanks goodness..." Julian said, breathing a sigh of relief.
Lia smiled and stood up, then looked at Lavendina.
"How is it? Can he stand up yet?" Lia asked Lavendina.
"Try standing up, Julian" Lavendina said to Julian.
Julian nodded his head and tried to stand slowly.
"Are?, My body feels so light" Julian said to himself, with a surprised expression as he stood up.
Once he was upright, he began to jump up and down.
"WOOW!!! My body feels so light and I feel like my energy has been restored!" Julian said in amazement.
Hearing that, Lavendina smiled. Bonang just stared in confusion, and Lia breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank God!" Lia said, relieved.
"What medicine did you give me?" Julian asked Lavendina.
"It’s just medicine I concocted using herbs" Lavendina replied.
"I see. Thank you, Ms. Lavendina. Your medicine is really effective!" Julian said, clenching his right fist.
"You’re welcome..." Lavendina said, standing up.
As soon as she stood, Lavendina began to put her arm around Julian’s right arm. Julian was immediately startled, his cheeks flushing.
"E-eh?!, W-what are you doing?!" Julian asked, embarrassed.
"Nee~, Julian... call me Sis Lavendina too... not just Lia~" Lavendina teased gently, glancing at Julian, her cheeks looked flushed.
Meanwhile, on Anindya’s side.
"CRUNCH!" the sound of a soda can dent, as Anindya gripped it tightly.
Desy, who was to her right, was immediately startled to see the dented soda can in Anindya’s right hand and spewing soda.
"A-Anindya, W-what’s wrong?!" Desy asked panicked.
Anindya was still holding the dented can, her grip loosening as soda leaked from the crushed sides.
"For some reason, my instincts told me that Julian was playing with another woman!" Anindya replied with a sharp gaze and a deep voice.
"A-ahahaha, t-that’s just your imagination. Because I think he’s already at home" Desy said with an awkward laugh.
"Hopefully..." Anindya said, her gaze still sharp and her voice deep.
"... But if it really happens... I’ll punish Julian!" Anindya continued, twisting the top and bottom of the can with both hands until the body can looked very small—and without her realizing it, the can split in two.
Desy, who saw this, was stunned and her body trembled, while Anindya glanced at the trash can next to the garden’s vending machine, then threw the can away, and proceeded to buy another soda.
Back to Julian’s side.
Julian gulped at Lavendina’s teasing expression and smile, but suddenly—
"Snap!" came the sound of a camera shutter accompanied by a flash.
Julian and Lavendina were immediately startled, and they immediately looked in the direction the camera flash came from. It was Lia, Lia grinned at them from behind her phone.
"L-Lia?!, W-what are you doing?!" Lavendina asked frantically, her cheeks flushing.
"I’m going to report this to Lady Anindya~" Lia teased with a wide smile.
"H-HAH?! Don’t make things up!, Lady Anindya will kill me if you tell her!" Lavendina said frantically.
Lia immediately put her phone in her skirt pocket and said to Bonang.
"Bonang, let’s run!" Lia said as she ran out of the alley.
"Okay!" Bonang replied enthusiastically.
Bonang chased after Lia.
"LIA WAIT UP!" Lavendina shouted, hoping Lia would stop running.
But unfortunately, Lia was already on Bonang’s motorcycle.
"Julian, even though your wound has healed, go home now and don’t go anywhere!" Lia said firmly.
"O-okay, Sis Lia!" Julian replied firmly.
"Great, see you!" Lia said, waving her right hand at them both.
"WAIT—" Lavendina shouted.
But Lavendina immediately stopped shouted, because she saw Lia teasing her—sticking out her tongue and pulling down her right lower eyelid with her index finger.
"BLEHH~!"
Seeing this, Lavendina immediately became angry. She picked up a medium-sized rock and threw it. The rock sailed past Bonang’s right side, and when it was in front of Lia, she immediately ducked.
"Oops! You missed, ahahahahaha~" Lia said mockingly.
Lavendina picked up another rock. But unfortunately, Bonang was already on her motorcycle and starting it.
"SEE YOU, GUYS~" Lia shouted mockingly.
Bonang immediately stepped on the gas, and they sped away from the area. Once they were gone, the atmosphere fell silent—Lavendina froze—and not long after, she threw the rock she was holding at the nearby left wall with such force that it surprised Julian.
"HAA!... HAA!... HAA!" Lavendina panted with anger.
"GRAB!" she clenched her right fist.
"L-I-AAA!!!... Watch out for you at school later!" Lavendina said in a deep voice, with a menacing smile.
Seeing this, Julian could only smile awkwardly, unsure of what to do.
