Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Feminism...What is that?
Seeing the scene unfold before his eyes Alex could not help it anymore about how the girl is treating her boyfriend and chose to intervene in it:
"Hey, you should do this show of yours in private, trust me it is absolutely ridiculous to watch in public."
Hearing someone choose to interfere a frown appeared on Shreya’s face, looking at him she said looking displeased.
"What’s your problem! I’m having a private conversation with my boyfriend here. Whatever I do to my boyfriend what does any of this have to do with you?"
Shreya glared angrily at Alex with obvious irritation in her voice.
Alex waved his hand dismissively: "It’s nothing serious really. It is just that I have almost zero interest in your relationship dynamics, so please spare me and the public and stop it, that’s all."
He genuinely did not want to cause any unnecessary trouble for himself earlier and was actually quite content to just continue watching this entertaining drama unfold but now he can not.
Because Shreya was not willing to let it go and insisted on continuing the confrontation:
"I can tell just by looking at you that you do not even have a girlfriend of your own. So what does it matter to you how I talk to my boyfriend?
Why do not you mind your own business instead of acting like some nosy reporter?"
Alex immediately felt amused by her aggressive response. He had not wanted to get involved in other people’s personal drama, but this girl seemed absolutely determined to drag him into it.
So Alex decided to speak his mind openly: "Whether I have a girlfriend or not has absolutely nothing to do with you, does it?
As for why I intervened because I genuinely think you are being incredibly pretentious and unreasonable.
Your boyfriend came here to pick you up, and you are actually scolding him for being two minutes late and demanding that him to kneel down in public?
Are you mentally disturbed? Or is your brain just not fully developed? Or do you treat us as such?"
Then he looked directly at the young man who was still struggling with whether to actually kneel down, and spoke with obvious contempt:
"And you look at yourself! Are you seriously considering kneeling down for this?
People say a man’s knees are worth their weight in gold
They should only kneel before their parents or to God.
Yet you are ready to kneel for your girlfriend so easily, but tell me honestly have you ever knelt down even once for your own parents who raised you?"
The boyfriend’s face went completely stiff with shame, and he lowered his head in embarrassment at Alex’s pointed question.
Now Shreya was absolutely furious with this interference!
"So what if I asked him to kneel down? What does any of this have to do with you anyway, Don’t butt your nose here?" Shreya snapped back defiantly.
"We women are completely different from men in this society! If he can find a girlfriend like me, then that’s actually his biggest blessing in life."
"It’s only natural and right that he should treat me like a princess and cater to my every need!"
Shreya snorted coldly and rolled her eyes dismissively at Alex, clearly irritated by his interference in her personal matters.
Having maintained this unbalanced power dynamic in her relationship for such a long time, she had grown completely accustomed to feeling superior and being in total control of her boyfriend.
How could she possibly tolerate hearing Alex say such critical things about her behavior?
Alex’s expression became even more incredulous: "Are you actually looking for a boyfriend here? Because I am pretty sure what you are describing sounds more like you’re looking for a personal dog instead."
Shreya looked completely disdainful of his pointed question: "If someone wants to be my boyfriend, then they should trust me unconditionally and be willing to do absolutely anything for me without question!"
"I see what this is now. So you’re one of those toxic feminists that people talk about online, right?" Alex said with obvious contempt in his voice.
He had never encountered someone quite this extreme before.
To actually run into this type of person while shopping at Plassio Malls what were the odds?
Shreya retorted angrily: "It is not toxic feminism, it’s female empowerment! We women of the new era deserve to have these rights and expectations from men!"
Alex chuckled with genuine disbelief: "Rights? The kind where you only demand benefits without contributing anything meaningful in return? How can you call yourself a modern woman? I think what you actually are is more like a spoiled adult baby."
Shreya was shaking with rage at his harsh words. This was the first time any man had ever dared to argue back against her like this!
Alex seemed completely unafraid of her anger and continued to criticize her openly. If someone was going to be this unreasonable, then he wasn’t going to hold back his honest opinions!
The two began debating more heatedly, their argument attracting even more attention from curious onlookers from the mall.
At that moment, a food blogger who had been watching this drama unfold discreetly took out their phone and started recording the entire confrontation.
"Perfect, I have another viral video to post on my channel," He thought with satisfaction, quickly editing the footage and uploading it to Instagram with strategic hashtags.
The platform had become known as a gathering place for extreme feminists and people who constantly criticized Indian men while praising foreign cultures.
In their distorted worldview, Indian men possessed countless flaws and problems, while foreign men especially Korean men had every possible virtue and quality imaginable.
There might be not a single girl in your locality where they would not have watch K-Drama.
After the blogger posted the video, they gave it a very provocative and clickbait title: "See? This is the true toxic nature of a man exposed!"
As soon as the video went live, it immediately attracted massive attention from viewers across social media platforms.
Due to the algorithm’s targeting system, most of the people who saw it first were radical feminists who became absolutely outraged after watching the footage.
"This man is seriously disturbed! What’s wrong with asking your boyfriend to show proper respect? What business is it of his anyway?"
"Exactly right! What’s wrong with expecting your boyfriend to treat you like the queen you are? This is what real love actually looks like!"
"A man’s knees are made of gold? This guy is seriously sick with outdated patriarchal thinking and toxic masculinity!"
"That man made his girlfriend wait for several minutes in the rain, but this interfering stranger, what the heck is his problem? He’ll definitely never find a wife with that terrible attitude."
In their minds, everything women did was automatically justified and correct, while men could never do anything right no matter what.
Soon after the video gained traction, someone tagged Shilpa Tripathi, in the comments she was the most popular feminist influencer online with millions of followers.
Every time she posted feminist content or reaction videos, she would get hundreds of thousands of likes and supportive comments from her dedicated fanbase.
However, around this time, some viewers began noticing something completely different about the video that changed everything.
"Wait, is it just me or is that guy in the video actually incredibly handsome?"
"Oh my god, you’re absolutely right! He’s more attractive than most Bollywood actors I’ve seen!"
"I’m totally smitten with him now! He’s gorgeous!"
"So what if he’s handsome? You can’t eat good looks or pay bills with a pretty face!"
"Yes! What we need are men who support us unconditionally! Men who listen to us without question! Not just attractive faces with bad attitudes!"
"Hold on though everyone look carefully at that watch he’s wearing. That’s definitely a Rolex! Those cost over 30k easily!"
"Are you being serious right now? Is that actually true?"
Then someone else with a keen eye for luxury fashion noticed that Alex’s outfit was actually a perfectly tailored custom suit that probably cost over 1 million.
In an instant everyone has one thought that this guy was clearly rich, handsome, and successful the complete triple threat package that every woman secretly desired!
Suddenly, many of the radical feminists completely changed their tune within seconds of learning this information.
"Tall, handsome, rich, and successful - now that’s what I call a truly high-quality man."
"Maybe we should look at this entire situation from a completely different perspective..."
"I think I might have judged too quickly based on a short clip..."
The other feminists who had been agreeing moments earlier were left completely speechless by this sudden and hypocritical reversal.
What was happening here? Weren’t they all supposed to be on the same ideological side?
How could their strong opinions change so dramatically just because of money and attractive looks?
But soon they also began to look smitten by him too, completely forgetting their feminism.
