Chapter 420: Arthur’s Breakthrough
The words seemed to ripple through the sealed space itself, as though the void acknowledged his words.
The elders within the skyship remained utterly silent, none daring to interrupt, though shock gleamed in their eyes. Their young master—who had never once yielded to their advice—had just pledged himself to a stranger who had appeared from nowhere.
Apollo gave a small nod, neither triumphant nor patronising, only final.
"Good. Then from today, Arthur, you are a member of the immortal Order."
With a single movement, Apollo released his suppression of space. The void unlocked, and space itself breathed again, the skyship trembling as if freed from a giant’s hand.
"Come, first let me help you increase your strength." As he said that, he and Arthur seemed to instantly teleport, leaving the people in the skyship in surprise.
Arthur’s vision cleared, and he found himself standing atop a vast, barren mountain range. Jagged peaks stretched in every direction, untouched by city or village, only the endless whisper of wind filling the silence.
Arthur’s eyes widened slightly. He hadn’t felt it at all—no ripple, no distortion. One moment he was in the skyship; the next he was here. Even with his physique and ninety per cent comprehension of space, the transition was seamless, flawless.
His jaw tightened. ’So between us...’
The difference was unimaginable and felt beyond his reach, but he calmed down. He believed if someone else can do it, then he should be able to reach such a level with his talent.
He turned to Apollo, his pride pricked yet his curiosity burning hotter than ever.
Apollo’s lips curved faintly; he could understand what thoughts were going on in Arthur’s head.
"Alright, then concentrate. I will slowly let you perfect the law of space and even beyond the perfection of law, the rule of space."
Arthur’s breath caught. ’The Rule of Space...?’ The term itself stirred something deep within him. He had heard ancient legends—that beyond the complete mastery of a Law lay the threshold of the Rules, truths so absolute they governed the universe.
His fists clenched. His body trembled—not from fear, but anticipation.
"I’m ready," Arthur said, his voice low but resolute.
Apollo raised his hand. And instantly the air around him started to become heavy. Slowly the pressure around him started to increase, and space around them started to stretch and bend at the same time.
Arthur started to fall as he started to feel the law of space around him trembling, moving and bending according to Apollo’s power.
At that moment, Arthur felt as though he stood closer to space itself than ever before, as though Apollo had lifted a veil he hadn’t even realised was there. The sensation was overwhelming—terrifying even.
It was as if he had been cut away from Rion itself, suspended in a realm where only the mysterious power of space defined reality.
His physique seems to resonate with the mysterious power of space. The laws around the mountain slowly started to change as Apollo continued to increase his strength.
With every passing breath, Apollo increased the intensity.
The mountain trembled. The sky warped.
And then—it happened.
In mere moments, the law of space reached its peak—perfection at 99%, only a single step away from transcending into the realm of the Rule of Space.
The world reflected this truth.
But it was already terrifying; the void within dozens of miles seemed to transform into a dangerous land of space storms and space tears that anyone below the true god realm would die the moment they stepped in.
Yet Arthur noticed none of it.
His mind had entered an ethereal state, his body moving unconsciously to the rhythm of space itself. The resonance of his physique deepened, his understanding surging forward like a dam had been broken.
What once seemed like years of slow grinding comprehension now rushed into him in torrents, the fragments aligning into a whole. His pride, his frustration, his questions—all drowned beneath this flood of new understanding.
Apollo also steadily continued to increase the power of space law, and finally, it appeared Arthur’s enlightenment was going to end. He then fully showed his understanding of space.
The law of space transformed into the rule of space, and the world around them warped beyond recognition. Mountains, skies, and earth blurred, dissolving into an entirely new domain. The air grew unnaturally still, as though this place no longer belonged to Rion at all.
It was an independent space, carved out by Apollo’s will alone.
Arthur’s body trembled. His soul quaked. And then, as if hurled across a threshold, his perception erupted.
A brand-new world unfolded before him. Space no longer felt like distant fragments to be grasped but a boundless ocean flowing beneath all existence. For the first time, he truly felt the difference—the weight, the depth, the inevitability of a rule.
At that moment, Arthur understood.
This was no longer something he could hope to chase blindly for decades. With Apollo’s guidance, he was peering into a truth that countless so-called geniuses would never even touch in their lifetimes.
His 90% law of space rapidly rose to 91%, 93%...
Apollo, standing right in front of him, nodded as he felt the improvement of Arthur’s law of space and couldn’t help nodding and even feeling a bit surprised.
’His talent is really great, showing such improvement this quickly.’
Even he, Apollo, who had reached this stage with the aid of rare treasures and relentless training, had not advanced so fluidly. Arthur was advancing off nothing but the hints and pressure he revealed—a feat that spoke volumes about his physique and his affinity with space.
For the briefest moment, he felt a flicker of surprise. Perhaps, under proper cultivation, this person’s footsteps could one day walk beside his own rather than remain far behind.
And still, Arthur’s comprehension continued to climb.
In half an hour his understanding of the law of space finally reached 99%, achieving the great perfection of the law of space.
The moment he achieved that, his realm also seemed to break through the barrier from the half-god realm to the void realm.
