Chapter 349: Episode 32.10 Keeping Busy At Night
Shen Yuan was supposed to be setting up Bai Tingfeng’s dinner, but at that moment, he just found himself willingly burying himself in the alpha’s arms. So much for acting sulky and mopey. He just got reduced to a slave to his husband’s charm.
"How are you feeling today, Yuan?" Bai Tingfeng pressed another question upon noticing that Shen Yuan had no plans of replying. This time, his voice was more tender, and he whispered directly against Shen Yuan’s ears.
The celestial fox spirit felt goosebumps all over his body.
Unwillingly, he spoke out his feelings, "I feel like crap. I’m not sure if this is just in my head, but I feel very heavy today. My mood has been low. I hardly ever smile. If it wasn’t for Yanyan, I feel like I would turn into a villainous old hag in fairy tales."
Through the back hug, Bai Tingfeng sensed the remorse and frustration his husband was feeling. He feels even more sorry now. Guess he should drop the initial plan of rubbing jealousy on his pregnant husband’s face.
"Well, there’s nothing we could do about that. Your body is changing because of pregnancy. Male omega’s pregnancy has always been known for being emotionally draining during the first trimester." Bai Tingfeng explained to his husband in a soft voice. "We can try doing new activities to get your mind off the stress."
"I am too lethargic to pick up new activities, Tingfeng," Shen Yuan quickly shot down. He broke free from his husband’s hug and faced him. "Wait. You wanted to distract me... was that the reason why you suddenly brought up previous Shen Yuan?"
Shen Yuan pushed Bai Tingfeng’s chest, yet the man didn’t even budge. Stupid alpha body. "You knew that would light up a fire in me."
"I... did not say that to make you jealous."
What Bai Tingfeng said was the truth, but Shen Yuan was not taking any of it.
Pak!
Pak!
Pak!
Shen Yuan smacked Bai Tingfeng’s chest a few times, but the alpha didn’t even flinch. For all his S-class power, the celestial fox’s blows had no bite—more like a kitten batting at yarn than a husband venting his fury.
"You can keep hitting me if it helps," Bai Tingfeng said calmly. "But judging from that face, I’d say it’s only making you angrier."
Shen Yuan stopped, pouting. "Just eat your dinner and head straight to bed."
Bai Tingfeng watched as Shen Yuan went to the fridge to take out a pitcher of water. After the anger, his husband is now sulking.
People are not joking when they say that pregnant people have terrible mood swings. His perpetually chill husband is losing control.
It was both distressing and endearing at the same time.
"You know I never liked "that" Shen Yuan, right?" Bai Tingfeng tailed his husband. There is no way he will rest this case without fully settling it. Abandoning issues was never good in relationships, and Bai Tingfeng knew it.
"My father has been watching over Shen Yuan ever since his own dad disappeared. He kept photos of Shen Yuan—so many of them—that it was impossible for me not to notice." Bai Tingfeng’s voice was soft, his words carrying quiet sincerity. "You know I love you, right?"
"I fell in love with the celestial fox spirit from another world, and no one could ever beat that," Bai Tingfeng said with a smile so genuine it could melt steel.
When a handsome man smiles like that, walls of self-preservation crumble—and if you’re not careful, clothes might follow.
That, unfortunately, was exactly Shen Yuan’s current predicament. He felt himself leaning in, hoping to touch Bai Tingfeng’s skin, stupidly vulnerable.
Wait. What was he sulking about again?
’Fuck it,’ Shen Yuan cursed inwardly. He was thoroughly beaten.
"Alright, lover boy, enough. Let’s just eat dinner." His tone was full of resignation as he turned away, no longer angry, no longer jealous.
Bai Tingfeng trailed after him, fascinated by every step.
"I just said I love you. Don’t you think that deserves a proper response?"
Shen Yuan shot him a glare so sharp it was somehow sexy, and Bai Tingfeng’s eyes lit up like fireworks.
"Eat. Then go to bed early," Shen Yuan said flatly.
The alpha’s grin only widened at the hidden promise tucked between those words.
~~~
Yanyan had eaten dinner long before his father came home. His Daddy tucked him into bed early, which was why he missed seeing him.
He was supposed to be asleep by now. Yanyan knew that. His pet panda, Yangyang, was already snoring, whether from its nose... or maybe its backside. Yanyan can’t quite tell where the sound is coming from, but one thing’s certain: it is one of the reasons it was hard for him to sleep.
"Yangyang..." Yanyan peeked over his blanket at the snoring mound of fur. His voice was soft and milky, the kind of sound only a five-year-old could make.
The call brushed the air like cotton against skin—gentle enough that the panda didn’t even twitch.
"Yangyang!" he called again, a little louder.
This time, the lazy lump finally stirred.
"Ao?" The panda’s muffled cry was adorably questioning, like it was asking, What now, tiny human?
In its small, beady eyes, a glimmer of intelligence shone through. Yanyan wasn’t even surprised anymore—his panda might as well have been a dog in disguise. Grinning, he kicked off his blanket, tumbled out of bed, and plopped himself down beside Yangyang on the carpet.
"I can’t sleep," he confessed, hugging the panda’s soft side. "I think my school uniform made me too excited. Every time I think about my first day of school, my stomach gets all twisty. Do you think I’ll be okay?"
Yangyang the panda just blinked its eye. Whatever this spawn is saying is beyond it. It let out a yawn and then placed its big head on Yanyan’s lap. The little boy didn’t whine about the weight, though.
Yangyang’s head is surprisingly light for Yanyan for some reason, and besides, the two of them have been keeping each other company for a while now. Yanyan is now used to this.
"I am excited to wear my uniform finally. I am excited to meet my friends in school. But at the same time, I don’t want to leave Daddy at home for an entire day. What if he suddenly feels cranky? Who will keep him happy?" Yanyan made circles around the distinctive black patch around the eyes of the panda, deep in his thoughts. "Can you entertain my Daddy when I am not here and studying at school?"
That last question, the lazy panda was able to understand a little. Particularly, the phrase "not here." It felt the "goodbye" in Yanyan’s tone.
It sat up with a snap, its eyes wide and panicking. "Ao! Ao! Ao!"
Yangyang doesn’t understand where the little human will go, but it knows that without Yanyan in the house, it will be lonely in this huge place. It felt wrong to be left alone! The panda knows based on past experiences.
"What don’t you want to?" Yanyan’s little sword eyebrow cocked up. "Daddy is a good man. He will never hurt you."
"Ao! Ao!" Bring me with you, little human!
The panda’s cute voice sounds more solid as the two converse. Yanyan, the silly five-year-old, took it as an argument. In his young mind, his Yangyang has something against his Daddy.
And he can’t just leave that matter be! Yanyan is his parents’ protector.
"You know what, Yangyang? I don’t like your growls. You sound bad!"
"Ao! Ao! Ao!"
The five-year-old who initially had difficulty sleeping found an effective way to tire himself. Seems silly when looking at it, but when you are an only child with nobody to argue with, you treasure even the silliest conversations with your pets or toys.
What Yanyan didn’t know was that once his younger sibling entered his world, he would experience what it’s like to be in a courtroom every day. Energy, wit, and patience, everything he has will be put to the test. Once that time arrives, no regrets allowed.
~~~
While Yanyan was busy burning off his energy arguing with his panda, his parents were preoccupied with decidedly more adult matters back in their room.
"Ulk! Ulk! Ulk!"
"Plok! Plok! Plok!"
"Ohhh!"
The master bedroom thrummed with wet, rhythmic sounds, the heat of flesh sliding against flesh, and the low rumble of masculine grunts.
"Yuan! Hold on—I’m close! Pull out!" Bai Tingfeng’s voice broke into a husky moan, strained yet deafening to Shen Yuan, as if it were whispered directly into his ear.
Well, of course, it sounded loud—he was kneeling right in front of his man, lips stretched around his cock, savoring every reaction his alpha gave. It had been a while since their last time, so Shen Yuan decided to make amends the best way he knew how: by taking his husband in deep, offering a blowjob as their truce.
And what a sight it was! Bai Tingfeng, usually so composed, is now helplessly undone beneath him. Even without touching himself, Shen Yuan’s own body betrayed him, his sensitive hole already slick with need.
"Damn, Yuan!" Bai Tingfeng moaned loudly, followed by the strong trembling of the body.
Shen Yuan soon felt the warm juices spilling inside his mouth. He looked up at Bai Tingfeng and showed how he swallowed every bit of the juice. Bai Tingfeng looked at it in shock.
"Yuan! What the hell? Why swallow it? You are pregnant!"
