Chapter 822: Third Party

A few days ago.

"Are you sure about this?" A man with spiky hair asked.

"Of course." A woman nodded while crossing her arms. "I don’t have any intention of losing. Since they betrayed me first, I will betray them too. Track my GPS and follow the trails and pick me up in a certain spot. We will beat them with this."

"It’s not a problem, but how can we trust you?"

"Trust me? There’s no need for trust between the two of us. You work, I pay. I work, you pay. It’s purely a business relationship." The woman sneered.

"..." The man read the contract between them before nodding his head. "Fine."

"Good."

...

"What do you think you’re doing?" Clovis asked with a solemn expression. Kanaria, Rin, and the two others had hidden from plain sight, ready for another engagement.

Before them stood the members of R.A.I.D., along with the one-eyed swordsman.

Clovis had wanted to draw his sword earlier, but for some reason, the opposite side hadn’t done anything. They just caught up with them.

As a result, Clovis hesitated.

A man with spiky black hair stepped forth. "Don’t be so serious. We are here to pick our little packet."

"Packet?" Clovis squinted his eyes. Kanaria’s voice echoed in his ears. "There are three snipers, one with a rifle and the other two using a bow."

"Marking." Melody marked all of them on the map, including the 17 people before them. "This guy is using a jamming device to avoid the radar. We have to be extra careful with them."

"Of course. A little packet." The man smirked.

"You are reaping what you sow." A woman’s voice suddenly echoed from the side as she walked toward the opposite party.

"!!!" Eid raised her eyebrows. "Stefany?"

Stefany smiled. The moment she reached them, Stefany took out a small device and said, "Thanks to you guys, I have been able to come here without any problems."

"You..." Eid’s body shook.

"What? I’m merely doing the same thing. You doubt me, so I doubt you. You have betrayed me, thinking I have done something bad to you. Since you want to play it this way, I simply need to switch sides.

"Thanks to you, we were able to reach this far without exhausting our resources or energy." Stefany smirked.

Kanaria frowned and shifted her aim to Stefany.

The other snipers from both sides were also getting ready.

"Well, well, we don’t plan to attack you here." The man with spiky hair waved his hands multiple times, trying to calm them down. "I’m the leader of this team. You can call me K or Mr. K.

"We are here because of her request." Mr. K smiled. "So, why don’t we just settle this peacefully? We will leave immediately."

"What are you doing, Stefany?" Eid raised his voice, glaring at her.

"I should be the one asking you that question." Stefany’s expression turned cold. "Do you think everything will go according to your plan?

"If not for you getting swayed by that man’s words, there might not be a distrust between us. I know that I shouldn’t trust you anymore."

Clovis shook his head helplessly. "You might regret this."

"Regret? Do you think I will regret it? I have already won." Stefany sneered at Clovis. "Can’t you see what is happening right now? You are trying to be a smartass and turn the board upside down, but now, you’re the one panicking.

"You must be exhausted from all the fights. Meanwhile, these guys have conserved their energy by following your trail.

"I might be afraid of the Hacfield family and the Elseingarde family’s retaliation, but all I need to do is win! Or what? Is the famous Clovis Hacfield going to be so petty and attack me?

"Don’t forget that you are the one causing all this. If not for you poisoning others with your words, there’d be no need for something like this!"

"..." Clovis’ eyes were filled with pity, as if she had fallen from grace.

"What’s with your eyes? I don’t need your pity. The moment I win this succession battle, Vina will be stripped of her status." Stefany laughed. "You will win nothing. And do you think there is still trust between you and Vina after you backstabbed her?"

Clovis shook his head helplessly. "Since you want to go, just go. I don’t wish to make the R.A.I.D. or the one-eyed swordsman as my enemy, but don’t cross the line."

Mr. K rolled his eyes. "You got it. We will be seeing each other again."

Mr. K raised his hand as the team immediately moved away with Stefany, leaving them first.

On the other hand, the people on Clovis’ team gritted their teeth, wanting to fight these people. They were too arrogant. Even if it were not their young masters... even if Clovis were the one that gave them the order to attack, they would gladly do so.

To gain the cooperation of the Three Swords, Stefany had been the one begging them, but now that she had another team, which was equal in strength or even stronger, she acted mighty.

"Fuck! I can’t let this go. Let me chop that bitch into pieces!" Nart roared.

"Should we pursue them, Clovis? I can still take a shot of her from here." Kanaria asked, her rifle still aimed at Stefany’s back.

All of them were ready for Clovis’ order, but that tension suddenly broke the moment Eid’s laughter filled the air.

"Pfft. Hahahahahaha!" Eid clutched his stomach. "Hahahaha. I couldn’t contain it anymore. This is so freaking hilarious."

"What is funny?" Nart grabbed Eid’s collar, annoyed by his reaction.

"Pfft." Eid was trying to hold back his laughter to explain. "Do you think this is completely unpredictable?"

"What?" Nart widened his eyes.

"That guy over there had predicted this would happen." Eid pointed at Clovis.

"!!!" All of them shifted their eyes to Clovis, demanding an explanation.

Clovis remained silent for a while, frustrating them. Their gazes were telling him to just spill it out already.

Yet, Clovis turned to Vina and dropped another bomb. "Congratulations. You have gotten rid of your enemy."

"!!!"
