"Excuses, excuses…." – said the young man as he didn't let paladin finish talking.
"We were able to easily break through their so called "dead cannon zone" that they set up…. And now you are telling me that we are not able to make any form of advance after getting on the land?"
"Please explain me this in details, huh? Friend?"

"Please stop it brother." – said Maryia Kielich as she entered the cabin and approached the pair.

"What do you want? Shouldn't you be attending to the soldiers?" – said the Godfrey as he gave a signal to the paladin to get out, causing the paladin to leave the cabin.
"I already did finished healing them all." – said Maryia as she sat down on the chairs located in the cabin.
"Anyway, what is going on your end?"
"Nope." – said visible pissed off Godfrey.
"The fucking docks that we were supposed to have taken over were rigged with explosives, pretty much destroy the entire thing and also taking down some of our solders down."
"We pretty much have no cover what so ever on the beach or the docks…. And these bastards have set up heavy artillery."
"They are bombarding us from FUCKING afar nonstop!"
"We tried using angels, but they had some sort of "anty flying creature weapon" or something that shot down the angels…. This is annoying like hell."

"Can't you deploy that barrier on the land and maybe push them or something with it?"
"Do you really think that barrier of that power can be easily deployed and moved around with ease?"
"Our 3 grand ships were specially modified in order for me to operate that barrier."
"If you want me to deploy that barrier we would need to plant seal on the beach or docks."
"Yea! Great idea! Let enemy just bombard the living hell out of us! Nothing could go possible wrong!" – said sarcastically Godfrey.

"Tch."
"Honestly, I think our only option would be to spread our troops around."

"Em…. But I though we couldn't do it? I mean, we are still pretty much- "
"I MEAN FROM THE SEA!" – said Godfrey.
"God…. You are just…. No. Why the hell I thought you would understand on your own?"

"Okay… So here is plan."
"These guys are having heavy fortifications on the beach and area around here, right?" – said Godfrey while pointing at their current location on the map.
"But that kind of fortification cannot be placed everywhere."
"So, we will just make our invasion force spread in wide area, attacking from many different spots and directions at the same time."

(They will run out of ammunition around the same time we would deactivate the barrier.)

"Are they just that desperate?"
The tanks aimed at the ships, before opening fire, bombarding the barrier right in front of Godfrey face.

"Look around."

"I'm sorry?" – asked confused soldier.
"I've said, LOOK AROUND!" – said Godfrey.
"There is no bloody way they went with the simplest tactic like that."
"It maybe be just distraction."
"Look around if we don't have anything moving in the water or skies."
"I don't want these bastards pulling our any steaky attacks!"
"Got it?!"
"YES SIR!" – replied soldiers as they began running around, spreading the Godfrey orders.

(They must have already realized that the barrier can be deployed in only single direction.)
(The best way to do things would be to attack us from the unprotected side….)

Suddenly, the empire ships were hit by giant blast of magic.
"?!"
"THE HELL?!" – shouted panicking Godfrey as he looked at the barrier, only to see it still perfectly working.
"HEY! WHERE THE HELL DID THOSE ATTACKS CAME FROM?!"
"F-from above!" – said the injured soldier before getting knocked out.
"?"
"Above?" – said confused Godfrey as he looked up, only to see noticing, even when using his telescope…. Before then looking back what was happening in front of him and noticing a burning sphere flying high into the air, going above the barrier, before then hitting and blowing up parts of the ship.
"!?"
"OH FUCK! THEY ARE REALLY COMING FROM ABOVE!?"
"…."
"The enemy is taking hits!" – said the vampire soldier that was operating a giant mortar cannon tank.
"KEEP FIRING! Bombard these fuckers!" – shouted vampire general.
"YES SIR! MEN! PREPARE ANOTHER VOLLEY!" – shouted the tank operator.

(Dammit. No wonder "Kid" likes this Doctor guy! His inventions are monsters like…. Still, he said that this one is pretty shitty in its own way.)
(He said that is only experimental version that lacks both power and overheats too fast, causing the cannons to not fire so often…. Still, we can at least attack them over the barrier, even if the damage isn't so big.)
(This will definitely make them panic.)
"WHERE THE HELL ARE THE BARRIERS?! DEPLOY THEM ALREADY! WE CANNOT LET THEM DAMAGE THE MAIN SHIPS OR THE GREAT BARRIER WILL COLLAPSE!" – shouted completely pissed off Godfrey.
"W-we are working on it sir!" – said the soldier as bunch of priest gathered around on each ship before moments later a beam of light emerged between them around, rising up before then forming a barrier that started blocking the bombardment.
"…"
"Okay…. I think it is holding up…. Right?" – said Godfrey as he tried to caught his breath.
"What is situation?"
"The explosives weren't as powerful as we had thought, but the areas that were hit were set on fire! We are currently trying to put them down." – said the empire soldier.
"…"
(Huh…. Okay. So, it is only fire…. I really thought that some ships were just blown to smithereens…. But I guess they were only aiming to spread fire…. Damn… Still, this was beyond scary…)
(Now they have means of attacking us past great barrier?!)
(It does look like our regular priest can block it by forming combined barriers, but they obviously can't keep up these barriers forever.)
(Should we move the ships?)
(We can obviously retake the beach since we still have the great barrier.)

(Still, by the looks of things they lack fire power…. And that is probably why they went with fire.)

"What about our sides? Or back? Anything?"
"No sir! We haven't spotted any new enemies coming from different directions." – said the empire soldier.

Godfrey looked around in annoyance, before then shaking his head.
"Order all ships to move away from the beach!"
"We can reconquer them later on, but for now we need to get out of here before the temporarily barriers collapse!"
"We will retreat and make a proper barrier, before then coming back."
"MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!"
The empire forces began preparing their ships to get away from the beach…. But while they were paying only attention to their surroundings and the great barrier…. Not noticing a lone shadow sneaking around on the ship, hiding in other people shadows, before then heading straight towards the "Child Of Mercy".
And as soon as it got close enough to her, Hunter leaped out of it, rushing straight towards the little girl, ready to decapitate her with a scythe.
