Chapter 778: Chapter 776: Scorching Gaze
Teacher Chu had chosen two rather complex and difficult-to-memorize classical texts, and seeing Jiang Mianmian recite them all quickly and accurately, she nodded in satisfaction.
"Hmm, not bad, Student Jiang Mianmian, you indeed have a solid grasp of this knowledge. Well, since you have already finished this semester’s courses, I will not restrict you anymore. You may arrange your time according to your own interests," Teacher Chu said, patting Jiang Mianmian on the shoulder considerately.
"Hmm, thank you, Teacher." Studying solar technology had enlightened Jiang Mianmian, and she was very pleased.
After Teacher Chu returned to the office, she specially greeted the teachers of other subjects.
"Dear teachers, our class’s student Jiang Mianmian has already finished this semester’s courses, and now this Little Genius is interested in solar power generation. If you see her reading books related to this in class, remember not to scold her. As teachers of a Little Prodigy, we must not suppress a genius’s curiosity," Teacher Chu instructed.
"This fast? Is this young girl that brilliant? She finished a semester’s courses just after midterms?" the chemistry teacher asked in surprise after hearing Teacher Chu’s words.
"Yes, I also was surprised, but after all, being a Little Genius, it is only expected that she learns quickly. You wouldn’t know, the book she was reading, I couldn’t understand a single technical term it contained, yet she was completely immersed in it, jotting down notes occasionally. I truly can’t help but admire her," Teacher Chu spoke of the book’s contents with some admiration.
"Really? This child is truly impressive, being able to digest such dry material. Teacher Chu is right, we must protect the child’s curiosity. If this child really discovers something significant in the future, our school will become famous along with her," the physics teacher quickly agreed.
Jiang Mianmian was unaware of the discussion her abilities had stirred up among the teachers in the office.
She was still intently reading, but soon, she noticed a particularly intense gaze fixed on her.
"Zhong Yuan, what is it? Why are you staring at me like that?" Jiang Mianmian asked, puzzled, as she looked at Zhong Yuan who kept staring at her.
"Jiang Mianmian, have you really finished all your courses for the first semester of ninth grade?" Zhong Yuan asked, somewhat incredulously.
Though he also prepped in advance for classes, the ninth-grade curriculum was not like that of the seventh and eighth grades. Following evening self-study at school, he still had a relative who was a teacher help him with additional lessons at home.
He was working this hard and had only managed to complete two-thirds of it, while Jiang Mianmian had already finished the entire previous semester!
"I just finished them," Jiang Mianmian clarified, not wanting to demoralize Zhong Yuan.
"You’re so impressive. You learn so fast on your own; I have my aunt tutoring me at home and still can’t match your pace," Zhong Yuan remarked wistfully.
Jiang Mianmian truly was his biggest competitor in studies!
"Zhong Yuan, keep it up, you are also amazing," Jiang Mianmian encouraged.
"Yeah!"
Zhong Yuan nodded, his fighting spirit high as he looked at Jiang Mianmian and said, "I will definitely try harder to catch up with you!"
Jiang Mianmian had nearly become his ultimate goal now; he had to surpass her! He could not admit defeat!
From that day on, Zhong Yuan studied even harder.
Time flew swiftly, and soon it was time for the final exams.
