Chapter 240: Winning battles after battles

Chapter 240: Winning battles after battles

Sebastian didn’t know how a candidate could attack just within a few days. It didn’t make sense to him, but the challenge was real.

Now he could only rely on the powerful existences of this world to intervene to defend against the invader.

Though he wouldn’t be leading the battle, it might help him in this situation.

The world he was in was the world of knights. The highest beings was called Sages, probably Tier 16 life forms.

Now he wanted to make those rulers take action.

But first he needed to accept the challenge in 30 minutes.

Damn it all!

He gritted his teeth and said, "I accept."

This reply was also heard by everyone.

Ethan smiled.

"Then let’s begin."

But then a Tier 16 realm being appeared before them.

He had a sword in his hand. That was the lifebound sword of a knight.

"May I ask, what is going on here?" the man asked.

Ethan gave him a little detail about the trial and that a candidate was present there.

"You can try to fight me or you can try to make your candidate surrender. Your choice."

This was Ethan’s game plan. If he waited until one year, those protagonist-level candidates would have found a way to manipulate these powerful beings to battle for them, but now that only a few days had passed, no one except him had even made contact with the true rulers.

So Ethan could win this battle literally doing nothing.

The man had a look of understanding.

"So that’s how it is. We are a part of the inheritance trial of the reality master."

Ethan didn’t say anything. He gave him time to think, this was new news to him after all.

But he ordered five of his subordinates to release their aura, so that he could take his decision faster.

The man also understood this meaning. They were urging him to make his decision faster.

"I understand. We choose to help you make your opponent surrender. There are 123 Tier 16 present. Even their entire world didn’t have that much power force."

"A wise decision. I am giving you one day to find out the candidate and make him surrender. Or else we will have to take action."

Sebastian saw the whole conversation through video broadcast. Everyone in the world was watching this. They wanted to know what was going on.

The knight left.

Sebastian was now thinking what to do. Should he just hide, so that they would find him and that would make his opponent angry and attack them, generating a war.

But where could he hide. He was just a Tier 11. Finding him would be easy. His name alone would let them find him through Karma.

Besides, he had just accepted a challenge, which plunged this world to the verge of war, meaning he manipulated its fate.

This could also bring him disaster now.

So hiding was not an option.

Sigh! This was cheating. How could someone become this level of influential that he could command such power. The spirit was unfair.

So he cursed the spirit, "You weird-looking piece of shit. If you are going to show nepotism, why the fuck would you even begin this shitty trial?"

He was venting his frustration. But then a portal appeared just below him and a strong pull sucked him away. No one knew where this portal took him.

Then Ethan heard the voice of the spirit,

"You have won this battle. One win is added to your profile."

Ethan was surprised. Because he hadn’t heard anyone surrendering yet. Then why would the spirit say he won?

Ethan asked the spirit,

"Are you sure. I haven’t listened to the opponent’s surrendering."

"He is just a weakling, cursing others for his lackings. He is already defeated and is not worthy to become master’s heir."

Ethan didn’t know what happened but it was a good thing.

A lot of time was saved.

Ethan slowly stood up and a portal appeared behind him.

He looked at his army and ordered them to enter the portal. The battle was already over. They were leaving.

Though everyone was confused, no one asked any questions.

Ethan and his overwhelming army started to invade world after world.

Most of them were in the same situation. Because the candidates were not ready at all. How could they fight with this giant army.

Ethan won 31 battles in a single day and every one of them was a no-fight battle.

"Okay, we can now rest. Though you haven’t battled, there might come an emergency situation where you might have to put your 100 percent effort. We will rest tonight and start our battle tomorrow."

The soldiers were confused even now. Their Progenitor said that they might die in the battles, so they should leave no regrets.

These battles were all too easy, they were just standing there and did nothing, but they were winning battles in this manner.

On the next day, and the day after that, Ethan had conquered more than 100 worlds.

This was not fun at all, but he needed to finish the battle.

The spirit in the inheritance ground was gritting its teeth, "This bastard. I put him in the most worthless position but look at him, after a few days, he is conquering worlds. What is the point of this trial even."

What could he do. Ethan didn’t break any rules or regulations.

But the most important thing was, where the heck did he get all the locations of other worlds. He put only one location in each world. If someone could conquer that world, he could then find another location. But Ethan was attacking world after world without even finding those locations.

He could only sigh and pray that someone should become powerful enough in these few days who could give him a worthy fight. Otherwise, this trial would become a laughing stock for master’s friends and enemies.

Five days later,

Ethan had conquered 190 worlds already. Even if he did nothing, he would still win this stage. But Ethan was not patient enough. He would end this entire trial in one fell swoop.
