Chapter 1090: Chapter 561: I’m Awake
Luo Wei yelled, "Rod, quickly open the teleportation gate!"
Rod said anxiously, "No, it’s a monthly schedule, it can only open once!"
Luo Wei asked in astonishment, "Then what do we do?"
At a distance of 80 kilometers, apart from Special Level Combatants, no one can make it out.
Amidst the anxiety, an old yet stable voice came from beside.
"Come over."
Rod turned his head to see. Alehon had already transformed into a large patch of white cloud, spreading on the ground.
"Stand on it."
Rod tried stepping on it and found it soft, somewhat like a rubber mat, but it could hold a person without any problem.
Warriors rushed from all directions and stepped onto the white cloud.
The area of the white cloud was vast and continued to expand outward.
Soon, it lifted all the warriors, swiftly ascending.
The acceleration of the white cloud was incredibly fast, even carrying so many people; it reached an unimaginable high speed in a short time.
In the blink of an eye, it passed through the only exit and returned to the surface.
Looking at the familiar earth and swirling darkness, though it was still shrouded by darkness as usual, Rod surprisingly felt a sense of seeing light again.
And below them, the terrifying abyss rift was rapidly closing, quickly disappearing.
Accompanied by a roar from the void, this fragment of the abyss completely collapsed and was destroyed.
As it was destroyed, Rod saw an unprecedented grey line fly out from the earth, entering his body.
A golden light flashed across his eyes; the soul of the slain Ancient Dragon King finally returned.
[A portion of the Corrupt Soul of Ancient Dragon King Carex]
[King’s Soul]
[Possesses a Strong Source]
[One of the Ancient Giant Dragon Kings, revered as an unchallengeable god within its tribe.
Once, the Dragon Kings were the absolute rulers of the sky, earth, and ocean, proudly traversing the world, where all living beings bowed to them.
Yet, such powerful beings still could not escape the fate of demise.
It perished in an unknown catastrophe, head severed, limbs cut off, the remains fell into the depths of Black Fog, corrupted and eroded, becoming a terrifying monster.
But no one knew, before dying, it dug out the Dragon Heart containing most of its power, preserved it in a hidden tomb, and used Star’s magic to transform its body and soul, to avoid complete corruption by the Black Fog, minimizing its power as a monster.]
—
Beneath the text about the Dragon King’s soul was another line of words emitting a strange glow.
Source Material: Dark Abyss
Source Material: Extreme Abyss Gas
Source Material: Abyss Fragment
—
Then, several large golden words floated past before his eyes.
Breakthrough part of the primitive abyss, Divinity +60
Save humanity, Divinity +60
—
Rod’s eyes nearly went blurry.
He had never expected that the harvest this time would be so bountiful!
A King’s Soul was already a huge surprise; just it alone made the trip worthwhile.
The unexpected part was the Dragon King’s soul had an exceptionally long description, and after patiently reading it, Rod discovered a surprise.
The Dragon King’s Heart!
Carex dug it out before he died, preserved it in a hidden tomb.
Rod noticed the words "preserved." Could it mean that even after countless years, it’s still fresh?
The description included direct coordinates for the hidden tomb, which could easily be found on a large Star Disk upon returning!
Rod truly marveled at the wonders of the Dream Realm, capable of extracting so much information from a long-deceased soul.
Of course, this was because the information was inherently embedded in the soul; some souls are just blank, with no information at all.
Rod was very happy; he obtained another King’s Soul, and the soul did not disappoint, possessing a Strong Source.
His resources were richer than ever!
Book of Knowledge, you damn well better wake up!
Rod couldn’t help but complain, knowing this, he wouldn’t have let it sleep.
Really damn well delaying things.
The gain in Divinity was understandable, this 120 points of divinity would be the baseline during the next Star Flash, ensuring he wouldn’t gain much less Divinity than this time.
The most surprising to Rod were those three Source Materials.
Dark Abyss, Extreme Abyss Gas, and Abyss Fragment – it was obvious they were related to the abyss.
Such a small piece of abyss fragment, could shatter and yield three pieces of Source Material, Rod could hardly believe it.
Just as he wanted to study it, the wild laughter beside him finally broke his restraint.
"Enough!"
Rod shouted angrily.
"I know you’re excited, Asa, but hold your excitement for now."
Since returning to the Dream Realm, Asa had been laughing madly, his laughter had never been this crazy, causing Rod to think he might choke.
"Sorry, Master."
Asa was barely suppressing his laughter, ready to speak when suddenly a strange sound emanated from his mouth.
"You didn’t win, you haven’t won! I’m not done!"
Rod’s face suddenly darkened, staring at Asa, shouted, "Asa?"
Asa’s expression equally turned sinister:
"Master, it seems I was too quick to rejoice, my apologies. For a while, I won’t be able to assist; I need to fully digest it."
After saying this, Asa curled back into the Crystal Wall of the Soul Altar, motionless in the seal.
Rod let out a long sigh of relief; he wasn’t very worried. Whether Asa won or lost, these two Ancient Evil Thoughts would forever be contained within the Dream Realm, never able to cause trouble again.
Of course, it would be best if Asa won.
Such a useful servant is hard to find.
After this commotion, Rod lost interest in studying the Source Materials, turned and left the Dream Realm.
By now, they had returned to Courage Fortress. Rod looked out; the Ash Lake area had reverted to its original state, but the marks of battle hadn’t disappeared. The abyss’s devouring had caused great damage to the area, with surface collapses and destructions everywhere.
The Ash Lake had evaporated, leaving only a dark giant pit.
Residual Abyssal Aura rampaged across the land, mixing with Black Fog, and after many years, some abyss monsters would reappear here, but the powerful King Level Monsters were gone.
Nothing could hinder Trolian’s pace anymore.
Upon returning to Courage Fortress, after a brief discussion, everyone agreed to capitalize on the victory, quickly accomplish strategic tasks, seize the old fortress, and occupy the super-large Sun Crystal Vein they yearned for.
Thus, the combat cluster quickly assembled and set out.
They crossed the unimpeded Ash Lake with lightning speed, captured the old fortress, and cleared all monsters in the old fortress area, rekindling the Guardian Fire in this region.
When the fire illuminated the ancient castle that hadn’t lit for thousands or even tens of thousands of years, a golden light flashed before Rod’s eyes.
Save humanity, Divinity +120
Rod’s face almost twisted in laughter; after this round, all the divinity he spent would be replenished, perhaps even gaining more.
And the souls he obtained already filled the Dream Realm.
For the first time, he somewhat believed Luo Wei’s words; otherwise, such victory couldn’t be explained.
And upon seeing the super-large Sun Crystal Vein himself, he knew this divinity was pure.
It was an enormous vein, countless crystals emitting sunlight-like glow spreading throughout the cave, endless in sight, at least fifty times larger than the Sun Crystal Vein he found in Star Town.
"Trolian truly is rising."
At this moment, everyone had the same thought.
"Humanity is truly reviving!"
The monsters in the vein vanished in the blink of an eye under the seven Special Level Combatants, and soon, this vein changed hands again.
After countless years of falling, it was back in human hands once more.
As everyone celebrated and cheered, a long laugh echoed in Rod’s mind.
"Hahaha, my foolish master, please contain your excitement, though I know during my slumber you suffered greatly, made little progress, and struggled, surrounded by thorns, but all that is over."
"Because, I am awake!"
