Chapter 1107: Chapter 569: King of the Deep Sea (Part 2)
The air was filled with heavy moisture, as if they had descended to the seabed.
Deep within the Divine Tower, Rod sensed that immense presence.
That terrifying spiritual energy, though calm, was in its very existence pressing against their souls.
The King of the Deep Sea, Asdes, was in the depths of the Divine Tower.
Rod said in a deep voice, "Everyone fall back."
A thought moved, and he entered the dream realm.
The Book of Knowledge, repairing the Sun Tower, flew over immediately and asked, "Ready to engage, Master?"
Rod nodded, "Aphro, be ready, I’m about to summon the Phantom."
The doll said, "Understood, Master."
Rod strode to the Eternal Square, where the statue of the Starry Queen stood isolated in a corner.
With a gentle touch, the requirements to activate it emerged in his mind.
"One portion of Colorful Dreams, ten Flowers of Humanity."
The Book of Knowledge said, "These demands are few; it’s the legacy of the former master."
Rod nodded, and with a thought, a portion of Colorful Dreams and ten Flowers of Humanity drifted out from the storage, falling into his hands.
Glancing at the items in storage, Rod’s heart suddenly sank; he now had only one Flower of Humanity left, having concocted only six portions of Colorful Dreams from the 500 units of Nightmare Fuel obtained from the Mysterious Shadow, in addition to the Nightmare Fuel from many Black Fog Symbionts.
It seems I’ll have to find ways to gather more later, thought Rod, as he lightly touched the statue with the Colorful Dreams and Flowers of Humanity.
In the next moment, the Colorful Dreams scattered into countless hues, dissipating in the air — the Flowers of Humanity also flew apart, transforming into streams of black and white, sinking into the statue.
Seconds later, the statue’s eyes lit up, starlight began to flow, stars began to shine,
It came to life.
A sigh as if from the void echoed.
"Ah, it’s you."
"I seem to have taken a nap, Priest Grandfather never left me, brothers and sisters surround me, Heg stands behind me, the kingdom of stars is flourishing and prosperous, people eagerly await the arrival of festivals, and the bards sing joyful songs in anticipation of the future... That dream was so beautiful, I don’t want to wake up."
The Book of Knowledge suddenly became stern.
"You, a past undead, have already perished; this is the spirit formed from the aggregation of your former trajectory, you should abide by the summoner’s rules and serve us."
The statue’s eyes turned, and a powerful aura emerged.
At this moment, she was the Starry Queen, not a cold work of art.
"You’re wrong; I don’t like such constraints."
A powerful aura spread, space became distorted, the dream realm vibrated.
The Book of Knowledge was evidently somewhat panicked.
"What are you doing? Obey orders! Obey orders!"
The doll immediately assumed a combat stance.
"Master, prepare for battle, the dream realm’s power is far from restored, unable to restrain such a powerful spirit..."
In the distance, the Evil Ghost King charged with thunderous steps; a battle was about to begin.
"Stop!"
Rod hurriedly shouted, quickly turned, and deeply bowed to the statue.
"Your Majesty, Queen, I deeply apologize for disturbing your slumber, but I need your help; the surviving humans need your help, Heg told me you’d assist us."
The statue smiled subtly, seemingly unperturbed.
"It’s little Rod... Your trajectory is very, very short, but very brilliant; I smell Heg’s aura from you, you’ve surely assisted him a lot, haven’t you? His soul surely rests here, right?"
Rod nodded lightly, "Yes."
"Oh, that’s wonderful, wonderful, Heg, I can finally be reunited with you, heeheehee..."
With a delicate laugh, the statue slowly faded away, that powerful spirit seemed to merge into the air.
The Book of Knowledge exclaimed joyfully, "Master, as expected of you, the spirit is awakened, please fight swiftly to reclaim the dream realm’s power!"
Rod immediately left the dream realm; upon returning to his body, he summoned the Phantom.
Simultaneously, a golden flash streaked across him, merging into the Phantom.
The Phantom’s form immediately elongated, golden light encircled it, and two long golden blades extended from its wrists.
"Master!"
The Phantom turned, half-kneeling.
"I am ready."
But Rod did not respond, his expression turned unfamiliar, purple star fog emanated from him, forming a long cloak.
"Ah, this is indeed the legendary space inside the Divine Tower; truly nostalgic."
He turned, seeing Anna and Mephit behind him, who stared at the changed Rod in amazement.
"Eh? This is... Ah, it’s remarkable, truly remarkable... Truly worthy of being Heg’s successor."
Rod smiled faintly, his eyes gradually tinted purple, golden starlight flickering within.
At this moment, he was both the Master of Dreams, Rod, and the Starry Queen, Reena.
He turned his gaze, looking into the distance.
"Ah, that’s your target, right? Invasion, assault, piercing, guarding, the strong Source Law of the Deep Sea, this is the King of the Deep Sea, Asdes... You’ve chosen a formidable and great entity as your adversary."
"Seems I’ll need to exert great effort... I wonder if I can defeat it; hmm, spiritual energy feels somewhat weak."
Rod’s thought moved, and he opened the Spirit Tide.
"Ah, such strong spiritual energy recovery power... Enough, just this one is sufficient, the stars will grant me more."
"Let the battle begin."
The Starry Queen tapped her toes, her form floated towards the depths of space.
Anna and Mephit exchanged glances, not understanding why Rod had changed so strangely, but they vaguely sensed that this was the decisive power Rod mentioned.
Otherwise, with their strength, they would never be able to defeat the King of the Deep Sea.
"Should we follow them?"
Anna asked softly.
"That golden Phantom has already gone ahead."
Mephit nodded slightly, "Let’s keep our distance."
They still didn’t comprehend the changes in Rod, keeping a distance ensured safety and allowed them to observe the fighting style of the "new Rod."
"Let’s go."
Anna lifted Mephit, cautiously followed, but after merely two steps, an immense wave of spiritual energy surged toward them.
It was so powerful that it directly hurled Anna away.
Immediately, a strong light erupted, engulfing the entire space.
"They’ve already clashed!"
Mephit swiftly summoned spiritual energy, cold mist surged around her, she stepped forward to block the impact of the spiritual energy wave.
"Let’s move quickly."
She grabbed Anna, bracing against the towering tidal wave-like spiritual energy passive, quickly charging forward.
The further they moved, the stronger the spiritual energy waves became. Spiritual energy shrieked, space trembled, deep purple light and dark light alternated, the roars of the King of the Deep Sea filled their ears.
Anna could barely stand, almost pleadingly asked, "Do we need to go closer?"
Mephit did not answer; they had already reached the edge of the battlefield, through the intervals in the fight, she saw the figure of the King of the Deep Sea.
It was a terrifying and twisted corrupted giant, its whole body deeply decomposed, revealing blackened muscles and bones, hung full of debris and seaweed, one arm half-broken, the other holding a trident, engaged in fierce combat with a mass of dazzling purple light.
The purple light flickered through space, its speed so fast that no trajectory could be seen.
The King of the Deep Sea roared repeatedly, continuously using the trident to stab at the purple light, yet never able to land a hit.
Meteor after meteor emerged from deep space, hurling down towards the King of the Deep Sea but were all swallowed by the dark waves rising around him.
The battle was extraordinarily fierce; such terrifying scenes were unprecedented, whether in the Abyssal War or the Divine Tower battle, none reached this intensity.
Anna was stunned, unable to lift her hand, fear filled her soul.
Yet Mephit remained composed, raising her right hand, cold ice gathered in her palm, pointing at the King of the Deep Sea.
"Fight."
