Chapter 181: Lingluo’s Fight

Chapter 181: Lingluo’s Fight

A thick, blood-red hand tipped with black claws burst violently from the cocoon, shattering the hardened shell as if it were fragile glass.

The force pushed Lingluo back a few steps, making her stumble slightly before she recovered and put distance between herself and the emerging "boss," as Yu Xuan liked to call it.

The creature that stepped out was barely recognizable as the former leader. Its eyes glowed an ominous, piercing deep red, radiating a chaotic intelligence.

Even the remnants of the cocoon were quickly absorbed into its body, forming a thin, crimson blood armor that shimmered across its monstrous form. The sight alone was enough to make the surrounding air feel heavier, as if something truly deadly arrived.

The monster lifted its gaze to the blood-red moon hanging ominously in the sky and let out a deafening, guttural growl.

"KHHAAAAAARRRRRRRR!"

Its eyes, though faintly intelligent, radiated a feral madness that was unnerving. It seemed to size Lingluo up, identifying her as its target, before lunging with terrifying speed.

Purple claws met red, bloodied fists in a collision that sent a shockwave rippling outward, cracking the ground beneath them. Lingluo gritted her teeth but held firm, her stance unyielding.

Without missing a beat, she surged forward, her fist enveloped in dense, dark purple energy. She slammed it directly into the monster’s face.

The creature tilted its head in an attempt to avoid the full force, but it wasn’t fast enough.

The blow staggered it backward, leaving visible signs of annoyance — and an unmistakable murderous intent flashing in its glowing red eyes.

The monster let out a piercing scream, and a bloody sphere materialized in its clawed hand, pulsating with malevolent energy.

Maniacal laughter escaped its throat as it swung the sphere toward Lingluo. She narrowly dodged, though droplets of dark blood splattered across her already-stained clothing.

Before she could regain her rhythm, the monster lunged again, wielding a massive spear with brutal precision.

For a tense moment, Lingluo was forced onto the defensive, dodging strikes with expert timing. Her claws cut through the air, leaving streaks of violet energy, but the monster’s relentless assault pressed her back.

A cruel smirk spread across the monster’s twisted face. In a sudden, fluid motion, it shattered the spear, lifting both halves with terrifying strength. One fragment it hurled at Lingluo; she barely dodged, rolling aside and springing back to face the creature.

Lingluo let out a sharp laugh. "Why are you smiling so uglyly? Ewww!" Her vocabulary was a mess, but she was more focused on facing the monster.

Her claws met the monster’s broken weapon once more, energy sparking with every clash. But she was feeling the strain.

The unknown power surging through her, which had given her such power boost, was beginning to fade. She needed to end this quickly.

The battle raged on, each collision sending shockwaves across the battlefield. Lingluo’s breath came heavier, her purple aura flickering intermittently. Just as she was about to adjust her stance for another powerful strike, a sudden, sharp sense of danger pricked at her back.

"You can fight, sister. Leave the sneak attack to me," a calm, confident voice called. It was Yu Xuan.

Before she could even turn, he had appeared behind her, intercepting the broken bloody sphere that had somehow been drawn toward her. His usual black eyes glowed with precision and control as he stopped the attack in its tracks.

Yu Xuan immediately noticed that, earlier the monster hadn’t missed accidentally — the broken spear had been deliberately missed.

Then as if using some type of control over the broken sphere the monster then aimed it Lingluo, he intercepted it in time neutralizing the broken spear, protecting Lingluo without hesitation.

The monster’s gaze snapped to Yu Xuan, radiating pure hatred. Yet Lingluo wasted no time reacting.

"Haha, I knew I could leave my back to you," she said, the laugh in her voice fierce and confident.

Her attacks surged again, more ferocious than ever, energy crackling around her purple claws.

Though small scratches and blood marked her skin, the injuries were nothing compared to the power she wielded.

Every strike, every slash of her claws, carried renewed intensity. Shockwaves tore across the battlefield, and the monster staggered slightly under the relentless assault.

Yu Xuan watched from the side, analyzing every movement, every fluctuation of power. Lingluo’s timing, her control over the Chaos energy, and her raw physical strength were astonishing.

Yet even as her aura dimmed slightly from fatigue, she refused to relent. She was a Chaos incarnate, and the battlefield itself seemed to bend beneath the force of her will.

The monster roared, swinging broken bloody spheres with all its might, but Lingluo danced between attacks, her claws leaving streaks of violet energy in the air.

Yu Xuan moved with precision, intercepting what Lingluo couldn’t block and silently coordinating his support, ensuring the creature could not exploit her momentary weakness.

"You’ve got this, sister," he thought, a rare smile flickering across his face.

’She’s amazing... even against something like this, she refuses to back down.’ he thought, though he knew she still haven’t used her trump cards. This creature was now bordering the strength of mid stage nascent soul cultivator physically and Yu Xuan was still not able to identify it’s real power.

And so, amidst the flashes of dark purple and crimson energy, the battle escalated into a breathtaking display of raw power and skill.

Lingluo, though feeling the creeping fatigue, unleashed everything she had, her attacks sharper, faster, and more precise than ever, knowing Yu Xuan had her back.

The monster, though fueled by rage and blood control, was slowly being pushed back, its own attacks less coordinated under the combined pressure of Lingluo’s ferocity and Yu Xuan’s timely interventions.

The battlefield was a storm of blood, energy, and determination, with victory hanging precariously in the balance. And then as if knowing it’s ultimate demise was coming, the monster decided to die in a manner that all of them should perish at the same time.
