Chapter 369: Chapter 368: No Riding Bicycles
After the three of them finished eating, Lin Wan went to the kitchen to prepare some food for them to eat on the road.
Eggs, scorched rice cakes, steamed buns; Lin Wan also packed some chili sauce for them in small glass bottles to take on the road.
Having ridden the train before, Lin Wan knew that the food on the train was expensive and not tasty.
"It’s already been quite a hassle for you to have us stay at your place for a night, how come you’re still preparing so much for us?" Wang Yuan felt a bit embarrassed.
"No need to be polite, we’re all friends here. It’s inconvenient to buy things on the road anyway, and I didn’t bring much. It’s enough for you to eat for a day." Lin Wan took them to the bus stop and handed a bag of food to Lin Yuan. "Xiao Wan, thank you. Next time I come, I’ll bring some local specialties from our place," Lin Yuan accepted generously and laughed.
"Alright."

"Take care on the road."
After seeing the couple off, Lin Wan returned home and took inventory of the goods in the west room. There were three to four hundred hats, more than five hundred gloves. There were only sixty to seventy scarves.
By the end of the month, enough should be ready. Even if not, it should be enough to last for a while.
"So, Xiao Yi and his friend left?" Liang Hongmei returned hurriedly after wrapping up at the morning market.
"Yes, they left."
"You’re pregnant now. Once you finish this batch, don’t continue, just take care of yourself and have the baby properly."
"Got it, Mom, I’ll listen to you."
Liang Hongmei told Lin Wan to go rest in the room, and she continued to sew hats and gloves in the west room.
Lin Wan didn’t go, instead, she kept knitting her scarf beside her. "Did Brother Huang’s dog skins get delivered yet?" "Yes, they did. Yesterday, Aunt Liu and Aunt Wang came over and each took about a dozen or twenty. Your mother-in-law also took some these days to help sew. "By the way, I’ll drive you to school tonight. You shouldn’t ride a bike."

Lin Wan thought for a moment, then nodded, "I’ll take the bus to school. You can pick me up after class, Mom." The bus service ends past eight, it’d be nice if it ran a little later.
Liang Hongmei considered it and agreed.
After lunch, Liang Hongmei went to teach her classes. She had promised to pick her up from school in the evening.
Lin Wan stayed home in the afternoon, continuing to knit scarves without going anywhere.
At five thirty, Lin Wan grabbed her little backpack and headed out. The bus stop was just a few steps from her mom’s house. Very close.
Lin Wan stood at the bus stop for quite a while before finding a bus, the number 8, that went to her school.
After being absent for two days, Lin Wan was met with hugs and a barrage of questions from Su Ling and Yin Peibai.
"I went to my husband’s base and stayed there for two days," Lin Wan explained, glancing sidelong at Yin Peibai. "How about you? Enjoying the newlywed life?"
Yin Peibai lightly hit her, giving a shy smile, "It’s going well."
"Oh, by the way, bring me some yarn tomorrow when you come. I’ve had some free evenings lately, perfect for knitting a few scarves."
"Are you really that free in the evenings? Does your Zhang Hanfu allow that?" Su Ling teased playfully with a raised eyebrow while munching on the raisins she brought.
"Get outta here."
Feeling peckish, Lin Wan reached over to grab a couple and popped them into her mouth. "Hmm, these are delicious. Where did you buy them?"
