Chapter 370: Chapter 370: Lucas Morgan’s Confession 10
Sophia Fraser is quite famous in the broadcasting department, firstly because of her good family background, secondly because she’s excellent in her field, and also because she’s good-looking.
A lot of people say they envy her, with her good family, outstanding looks, and strong professional abilities.
"Isn’t that the roommate of Sophia Fraser? It sounds like Sophia asked for a small favor, and they refused? Damn, that’s a typical ungrateful brat!"
"I heard that Sophia often takes her roommates to eat at fancy hotels. So many people envy them! If it weren’t for Sophia, those shabby-looking roommates probably wouldn’t even have a chance to eat at such places, and now they won’t help with a small favor? Truly ungrateful."
"Exactly! So disgusting! These people just enjoy the benefits from others, but if you ask them to do anything in return, it’s like pulling teeth."
People around started pointing fingers at Chloe Grant, looking at her with disdain and scorn.
The words most frequently used were "disgusting" and "ungrateful."
Chloe Grant really didn’t like being pointed at like that.
"If you want to contact Uncle Morgan, you can do it yourself. I’m heading back." Chloe Grant slightly pulled her hand away from Sophia Fraser.
"Chloe Grant!" Sophia Fraser got anxious and shouted, "Don’t go too far!"
As Sophia spoke, she actually tried to snatch the phone from Chloe Grant’s hand.
Chloe Grant was also somewhat annoyed, "Who’s being unreasonable? I said, if you want to contact him, you can do it yourself!"
She broke free from Sophia Fraser and stepped back.
She glanced at Sophia Fraser and then turned to leave...
"Don’t go, didn’t she ask you to make a call? Just do it! Not to mention, you can’t just leave like this, Sophia Fraser treats you guys to food all the time, she’s been so good to you, and now she needs your help, you can’t just walk away."
Someone stepped in front of Chloe Grant, blocking her path.
"This is between me and her, I don’t seem to know you, so it has nothing to do with you, does it?" Chloe Grant frowned.
"What does knowing or not knowing matter? Anyone has the right to speak out when they see injustice!" the person retorted directly.
Chloe Grant’s face turned completely cold, "May I ask you what you consider an injustice? Have I done something immoral or hurtful?"
"Being ungrateful is immoral!" a passerby standing next to the speaker said directly.
The voice was loud and sharp, "Someone’s helped you so much, and just asked you to make a phone call. If you don’t do it, you’re ungrateful, you’re immoral! And since you’re being immoral, any person with a conscience has the right to stand up!"
Listening to these words, Chloe Grant found it ridiculously laughable.
Yet these words received approval from many present, with many agreeing, "Yeah, truly immoral!"
"People like this deserve a good beating; it’s because of people like this that the world is the way it is."
"Since when has the world become so cold?"
Facing the accusations around her, Chloe Grant really felt so furious that she couldn’t even get angry, nor could she cry.
Chloe Grant let out a mocking laugh and spoke to the most vocal passerby, "With so many impoverished children in the mountains and so many struggling disabled families right now, why don’t you take out your living expenses and donate them to them? The world would certainly be a better place!"
