Chapter 263: Chapter 261: TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOURSELF
Back at the studio apartment, after arriving, Eugene went back to her apartment and didn’t dare to linger much more. After all, she had already spent too much time with the siblings.
Besides, her best friend would soon be arriving and Ruby also needed to spend time with her siblings, since school would be starting the next day.
Sitting on the couch like the big boss with Ruby sitting cross-legged on the mat, the two sisters were having one last lesson before school commences.
Garnet, on the other hand, was lying on top of the bed as she chatted with Andrea through texts while developing photos, she had taken of Diamond earlier.
The pictures that she would post should show some professionalism when compared to the ones posted by fans.
So, the two extraterrestrial beings were busy helping each other to make the best of what they had.
Meanwhile, Ruby, sitting like an obedient student, was listening to Diamond as she entered her teaching mode.
For Ruby, whose sister was always someone she admired despite the differences between the two before Diamond had money, her sister was the best.
And since she had more experience than her, listening to her wouldn’t be a loss.
"We have talked much about what you should expect as a university student, and I hope that you will not forget everything. You are my sister and a clever one on top of that. So, I hope that your brains will always be working pretty fast every time whenever you face a situation. I don’t want to hear that anything bad had happened to you, for whatever reason."
"Remember that genuine friends are hard to come by. I would rather you have one friend than be surrounded by sly people."
"Back in school, I used to have a friend. She wasn’t just a friend, but my roommate. I was ambitious back then and for my future, knowing that it was bleak and that if I didn’t do anything, I would always remain at the bottom. I never hide it from her."
"Since she was my friend and my roommate, one way or the other, they would still find out, so why bother? But that was the greatest mistake I made. I was too foolish and an idiot that I failed to read to my friends in time. I never understood them or bothered to try."
"I simply thought that since they are my friends, then they are on my side. I brought my traits from home, thinking that the world revolves around me there and that sent me to my doom."
"It was my best friend of mine who made me an idiot in front of my classmates. Even when she stole the guy I went through so much to be with, she never suffered any backlash. Not only that, but she is now married to him. If the two of us were to stand in the same frame, I might even be called a homewrecker when I had never done such an atrocious thing in my life."
"The people who are closest to you, your friends and siblings, are usually the ones who will backstab you in the back. So please, open your eyes widely and don’t let anyone in your circle. Just because they fawn on you doesn’t mean that they like you."
"Once these people separate from you, they will be the ones speaking ill of you. They will blame your face, appearance, body, money, car and the way you live. People will say nonsense to make themselves better. Just because you have it all, it will make them hate you and attack you. So, beware of that."
"If you are ever in trouble, remember to tell me. Andy will give a hand. He is good at this and will not let anything happen to you."
"Beware of these young boys approaching you. Once they smell money, especially with the car you picked, trust me, they will flock to you. And that will also become the main focal point of attracting hate from other girls as well."
"For your protection, I will assign a few guards to you. You won’t see them at all and unless you are in deep trouble, they won’t appear, so you can be as free as you want. They will remain in the shadows and let’s keep it this way."
"Remember to study hard, my dear. I want to come to your graduation where you will graduate with honors and maybe get a PhD in the future. I, your sister, failed our parents when it comes to academics. I don’t have much education but don’t lack money. So don’t hurry to earn and just study however you want. Your sister will hold the sky for you and let you achieve that one dream we all failed to do."
"Last but not least, you can have as much fun as you want, but know your limits. Smoking is bad for your health. Even I, your sister, don’t smoke even though my body won’t be damaged by doing so. You can drink but know your audience. It’s easy to get drugged. And people closest to you might aid in that happening to you."
"So, if you feel like drinking, know where to do that. Drinking at home is safe. If you feel like hosting a party or something like that, tell me. I will send you to the Moonlight Club or the villa in Garden View. At least places where we both know nothing bad will happen to you."
"I know I might sound naggy, but I can’t help it. If anything happens to you under my watch, I will regret it for the rest of my life. In fact, I might be forced to do something I swear to never do. So always take care of yourself always for me. Okay!"
As she looked genuinely at her little sister, Diamond implored.
Ruby felt touched, like every other time her sister would sit her down and advise her like that.
Rather than using examples of other people, her sister always uses her experiences to teach her a lesson.
With the thought of her reopening the wounds just to teach her about life, Ruby could tell that her sister loved her a lot.
And that love was so enormous that she didn’t want to lose it.
Why lose it over something silly?
