Chapter 197: Chapter 195: DIAMOND’S LIFE LESSONS 2
Diamond looked at her sister, whose tears were continuously streaming down her cheeks, and raised her hand. She wiped away those tears and looked at Ruby affectionately.
"Dear little sister. I won’t force you to do things that you don’t want or force my beliefs on you. I do this because that’s what I want and no one will stop me from walking this path."
"I don’t care about what society would think about me. In this world, the one who has the gold is the king!" she chuckled softly as she thought of the several billions in her accounts.
"How many times did this world of our slot girls due to the unfairness that we face daily?"
"I, your sister, only want the best for you and I hope that with you hearing my story I have never told anyone, you won’t repeat the same mistakes I did," Diamond said earnestly as she looked at her younger sister.
Ruby, listening to all that, was filled with mixed emotions. Her heart ached so much and the anguish she felt for her sister was way overrated.
"Big sis, you have suffered!" Ruby dejectedly said.
She didn’t know what more to say to her sister after hearing her history. It must have taken a lot of courage for her to reveal that secret and, honestly, Ruby applauded her sister for being courageous.
If Diamond hadn’t said anything about this, she wouldn’t have known that her sister once did something like that before. She didn’t seem to be the kind that would do something like that.
"I can’t say that I have suffered, but all I know is that the consequences of my actions caught up to me. I deserved everything that happened to me, though I still find it unfair."
"Anyway, I am still not done. This will be the first and probably the last time that your sister will sit down and advise you like this."
"You are eighteen and an adult. Some girls your age are already married and have kids. Though it’s unfortunate, that is what is like in other places."
"You have a mind of your own, and your future is definitely planned. However, as your sister, apart from what I have said earlier, I will add a few more things to the list that you should be concerned about now that you will be attending university."
"I lost myself in university after falling under peer pressure. Because I wanted to be on par with people who far surpassed me and wanted to live a life that wasn’t meant to be mine. I became a laughingstock. Although I will slowly get back at those people in the future, the damage was already done and there is no way I can change the past."
"The university where you will be going is one of the best ones in Frin. And obviously, you will be seeing a lot of kids from influential families there. And that means more pressure, mostly for average and poor kids."
"The money that the rich kids spend in an hour is equivalent to what a poor kid will eat in a month or so. That’s how different everyone is."
"If you let yourself succumb to peer pressure and dedicate your energy to pleasing others and trying to be accepted and seen by others. Ruby, I can assure you that you will find yourself in hell."
"While you throw your life away so that those other kids may accept you or that boy you are crushing on to see you, the same people will be busy watching as more money comes into their account."
"They will make you do their dirty job, but at the end of the day, no harm will befall them. They will go home and get married to their childhood sweethearts. They have money in their trust funds, which would last them for generations. But what about you?"
"They will lie to you, use you, and when you lose value, they will ditch you. That is not something that you will only see in a movie or read in a novel. But that B.S. also happens in real life."
"So, what I am trying to tell you right now is that no matter what happens, don’t succumb to peer pressure. If life ever gets hard at school, you better tell me. As long as it can be solved with money, your sister doesn’t lack it. I will be furious if I ever hear that my sister strayed on the wrong path because of money."
Diamond sternly advised her little sister, as she earnestly didn’t want Ruby to follow in her footsteps.
Having one sinner in the family is already enough.
"I will bear that in mind, Big sis!" Ruby nodded affirmatively as she took mental notes.
Diamond smiled with relief upon hearing that.
"That’s good then," she said smilingly before continuing. "As much as I would love to see my brother-in-law, I am not quite ready to see that happening yet!" icily stated.
Ruby shuddered when she saw how cold her sister had become in just a short moment. She wanted to defend herself, but before she could even open her mouth, Diamond continued.
"Ruby, you are a very pretty girl. You know that and so do we. Men love beauties while women hate beauties."
"The moment you will attend school, I know it in my heart that you will be a harbinger of chaos. You will cause a lot of commotion. However, I want you to know that you shouldn’t be too proud and pompous because of that."
"At the same time, also know that it’s not your fault. Why should we become average or ugly just because that will disturb others?"
"My point, however, on this is that, know that not every Tom or Jack that comes to you loves you. These men love conquering women a lot and, when it comes to people like us, they become even more determined."
"Out of ten relationships you see at school, maybe one will survive the test of time. These youngster’s brains are filled with conquering and sleeping with girls. And once they had their way with you, always know that you are doomed."
"So, when you are at school, know to always protect yourself from harm. Don’t entertain anyone or try to be over-friendly. That might be the cause of your doom without you knowing it."
"So, know your circle well. It will be better for you to have few genuine friends than be popular when all who surround you are two-faced b***."
"I won’t stop you from dating, but before you do that, please make sure that he is worth it and you won’t be crying tomorrow because of him," Diamond advised sternly as she recalled her past.
"I don’t plan on dating yet. I have so much I need to achieve and boys aren’t part of the plan!" Ruby hurriedly defended herself, as she didn’t want her sister to misunderstand her.
Diamond smiled reassuringly at Ruby as she said, "I know that you don’t have a boyfriend. I was just warning you in advance."
Ruby heaved a sigh of relief upon hearing that. "That’s good."
"Speaking of advice, there is a reason why I decided to do all this today." Diamond couldn’t help but shudder as she recalled that horror movie from earlier.
Ruby’s curiosity was piqued after hearing that. She sat comfortably as she gawked at her sister, pleading to hear more.
"What did you see? Was it romance?" Ruby asked curiously, eager to hear what motivated her sister all of a sudden.
Knowing Diamond, her question that started all this wouldn’t be the reason. There was something more to it and now she could see finally what it was.
"I won’t go into details about what I saw but what I want to teach you from what I saw and also a reminder to myself that no matter what, I should be a human being that always treats others with respect."
"Sis, what did you see?" Ruby couldn’t help but be curious as she asked.
Dimond shuddered as she recalled those short five minutes.
"Dear, when you go to school. Always remember to be humble and treat others with kindness. Of course, that won’t go for troublemakers. However, what I want to say right now is life is like a wheel. You don’t know what will happen to the person sitting next to you or yourself."
"You aren’t allowed to trample on others just because you are superior to them. A small act of kindness today might bring you a bountiful harvest in the future."
"Just because that person is struggling today doesn’t mean that you are entitled to make things difficult for him or her. I don’t want to hear any kind of stories from you."
"Don’t befriend bullies or suppressors. Do you get me?" Diamond sternly sought affirmation as she looked at her little sister.
It was quite normal for rich kids to get ahead of themselves and commit atrocities just because they had it all.
She didn’t want Ruby to become such a child and attract hate and bad karma as time passed.
