Chapter 926: Chapter 924: MEETING RUBY’S FRIENDS
After Tiana left Diamond with Ruby, Diamond was quite interested in her little sister’s friends.
She didn’t expect that Ruby would have her own circle when she got to the banquet, and that alone made her quite happy.
So, after so many hours, she finally has time to meet these friends. She didn’t let the chance go.
Moreover, Ruby’s friends who haven’t really met Diamond in real life were quite eager to meet her as well.
So, as the group headed outside, Ruby was busy making the introductions.
"Sis, meet Cynthia, she is one of my best friends at school. We are both in the same class."
Diamond looked at the little girl, who looked pleasant to the eyes. She had these confident eyes that seemed to tell a lot about her character.
It would be worrisome if Ruby befriended timid people.
Being timid would only bring you a bad ending.
Cynthia was very excited as she shook hands with Diamond. Her hands were very soft and pleasing to touch.
She was a pseudo-fan of Diamond. Her boldness and the way she does things just make her like the other party.
Diamond was partly the reason why she befriended Ruby, though in the end, she was conquered by Ruby. The sisters were different and unique in their own way.
"It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, Diamond. I have heard so much about you from Ruby!"
Diamond’s eyes squinted happily as she listened to that and returned the enthusiasm.
"It’s good to meet you as well. Please take care of her in the future. When I have time, I will have you come over for dinner!"
Cynthia beamed when she heard that.
Was she finally going to see where Diamond lives?
Even Ruby was stunned at first before a happy smile blossomed on her face.
It felt good to have such a loving sister.
Ruby continued to introduce her friends to Diamond, and Diamond didn’t show any favoritism.
The introductions continued until they finally reached Sean, and this time, Diamond narrowed her eyes as she looked at the young man.
She once listened to Ruby talking so much about Sean that she became curious about him. However, following her own rules of not looking into people unless it was necessary, she stopped herself from letting Andrea look into Sean.
Besides, Sean was Waylon’s friend. So he shouldn’t be that bad, right?
However, simply because she thinks like that doesn’t mean that she would be all smiles looking at the young man who wanted to steal her cabbage. Who made him want to pluck Ruby when she was just in her freshman year?
In Diamond’s eyes, Sean was like an evil messenger. Sent to Ruby to destroy and affect her studies. Couldn’t he wait until she was in her third or final year? What kind of guy messes with a teenager like that?
Everyone wasn’t a fool. In fact, being associated with Ruby, they kind of knew about Sean’s pursuit of Ruby. Seeing Diamond looking at Sean with such a gaze, they unconsciously took several steps back, leaving only Sean and Ruby, who were worried.
Was her sister going to lash out at Sean?
What was she trying to do?
Ruby couldn’t utter a word but looked at her sister, who didn’t bother to hide her scrutinizing gaze. Despite being at night, Diamond’s piercing gaze couldn’t be hidden.
Sean didn’t dare say a single word but nervously stood there as Diamond observed him.
As long as he remains still, she wouldn’t do anything to him, right?
Despite being a child from a top family, she knew one thing. Diamond was crazy. When it comes to attacking and targeting, she won’t even bother looking at your background.
He didn’t want to mess up. He should impress the sister-in-law and get her approval. But how was he going to do that when she wasn’t saying a single word?
His situation was quickly spotted by Waylon, who was just helping his mother into the car. Since his gaze always moved towards Diamond, he quickly noticed that something wasn’t right with those two.
It seems that Sean’s intentions must have been found out by Diamond, and that could be bad.
Thinking about his best friend, who really had fallen for Ruby, Waylon didn’t want anything to happen to him. So, he looked apologetically at his mother and said, "Mom, I have to go. I have to save Sean before she explodes."
As he said that, Valerie looked in the direction where her son was looking at. Upon seeing the situation, she couldn’t help but chuckle, finding Diamond’s audacity truly pleasing to the eye.
"Fine. Go ahead and save your friend, but remember, if the matter escalates, support your wife unless you want to be kicked out!" and didn’t forget to advise him.
Waylon grinned cheekily at her and happily said, "I know the drill. Don’t worry, once I make her mine officially. I will bring her to you for a meal!"
Valerie smiled at her son and, chucklingly, said, "Then I wish you all the best," before sending him away.
Waylon didn’t waste time but rushed to where Sean was, and amidst that, got joined by Luke and Sophia, who had just sent off their elders.
Sophia was cursing as she marched hurriedly, her eyes focused on Sean, who didn’t seem to be winning.
"What are they doing to him? Who do they think they are? Just because she is famous. Does she take our families as jokes?" Sophia was infuriated, her small fists clenched as she continuously scolded.
However, Waylon stopped her as he threateningly said, "Sophia, you’d better mind your attitude. Know your place and don’t interfere in matters that don’t concern you!"
He really dislikes how pompous Sophia always acted whenever Sean was concerned.
Sophia was not a fool and knew truly well that Sean didn’t like her at all. Even Luke, the brother, knew of that, and yet she always acts the fool and pretends like she doesn’t see it.
Anyone in their circle knew about Sean’s relentless pursuit of Ruby. It wasn’t Ruby doing the pursuing, but Sean himself, and yet Sophia always speaks ill of Ruby as if Ruby were the homewrecker and bad guy.
Whilst she might say that when they were alone, but to let Diamond hear it.
Now that was simply ridiculous and foolish.
Wouldn’t the matter escalate so quickly?
Not only would Sean lose out, but his chances of being with Diamond might be erased.
He couldn’t let Sophia ruin this for all of them.
Unfortunately, Sophia didn’t take that pretty well.
