Chapter 900: Chapter 898: UNTITLED

The next day, Diamond headed for the ROCKET CYCLES HQ, where she met up with the person in charge.

It was another endorsement for her.

Ever since she saw the bicycle during the sports event she was invited to by Tiana, she fell for it deeply. Thanks to her attendance that day, she managed to scoop that endorsement and even became acquainted with the Mainley’s patriarch.

When she got there, she was welcomed warmly.

The people were very polite and welcoming.

She and the person in charge discussed about she was supposed to do. She was no longer an amateur, so it didn’t take much for her to grasp what was needed.

With everything under control, she changed into PACE sportswear according to the agreement, and the first round of shooting began.

Diamond hadn’t cycled for a long time, to be honest. After cycling that day, she never touched a bicycle again. So, the moment her feet touched the pedals, she was so excited and cheerfully cycled freely as suggested.

As for how they would shoot the whole thing, that was their own problem.

In order to capture the essence of the bicycles plus the beautiful terrains of the city, the shooting venues were numerous but she wasn’t tired at all.

From bumpy roads, curves, gravel to tarred roads.

Diamond spent two days shooting, and her legs didn’t hurt at all.

On the second day, the shooting ended before lunch. After freshening up and changing into something casual, she went to have lunch with Tiana, who had also been monitoring the shooting. After all, it wasn’t just about the bicycle but her brand as well. Above all, it concerned the family business. So, she had to be thorough.

The two friends enjoyed their lunch as they talked about this and that.

"You didn’t forget about my grandfather’s birthday, right?" Tiana jokingly said as she chatted with Diamond.

Diamond’s eyes squinted when she heard that. "How can I forget?"

She even prepared part of the gift earlier. How could she forget?

Tiana was relieved when she heard that. She didn’t want to receive nagging calls from her grandfather. Although it felt great that he was talking to her. It bothered her that the topic was Diamond. Couldn’t he talk with her about something else?

She couldn’t blame Diamond. After all, who didn’t know about how cold the people in their families were?

At times, she truly envied that Diamond was the first of her own. At least, she wasn’t suppressed by her elder’s wishes. She does what she wants whenever she wants.

When would she be able to achieve that?

She could only suppress her emotions and continue to chat with Diamond.

The two had a great meal. After that, Diamond received a customized blue and gold bicycle with her name on it.

She loved it so much that she promised to promote ROCKET CYCLES with all her heart. Watching her like that, Tiana was at a loss for words. After all, for someone like Diamond who could afford to buy a car worth over A$100 million, their family bicycles shouldn’t be that difficult to buy, and yet she looked like a child who had just received her favorite candy. How could she not be stunned?

However, what she didn’t understand was that. Diamond had a thing for gifts. Ever since she became rich. It started becoming very hard to get something from others. Because every time, other people would be assuming that she has everything. So, why give it to her?

If not for formal functions, she wouldn’t even receive a single thing. So being able to get something from others, although the reason was in the open. She was just happy. Moreover, the gift showed a lot of effort and above all, it has her name on it. How could she not love it?

With her new bicycle in hand, she decided to show it off as soon as possible but that would have to wait until she was back at home. She couldn’t cycle for now. She needed to rest.

With the bicycle in her hand, she bade farewell to Tiana and promised to meet her at the banquet before leaving with Ivy.

Because this time she left work early unlike when promoting the hospital just two days ago. She had time to run those chores she ended up not being able to do.

So before going home, she dropped by the apartment complex which Ivy found and rented for the studio’s staff that would be arriving tomorrow.

After seeing the place, she was very satisfied. The apartments were mostly two to three bedroomed. They would be sharing and currently all apartments were rented under the name of the company since the staff didn’t exactly chose that for themselves.

After seeing the place, Diamond checked her other residential apartments. She had left these matters to Nancy and Kiara. Although she trusted them, just taking a look wouldn’t do any harm.

When she got to the Greenbay apartments, the place still remained orderly which put her heart at ease. After that, she visited the Moonlight Ridge apartment complex. She didn’t alight from the car but she saw how bustling the complex was.

Children were running up and about. The ladies were busy chatting, probably gossiping since it wasn’t time for cooking dinner yet.

The yard was very clean and bustling with life. Seeing all that, she was at ease and instructed Ivy to drive them home.

She had seen enough.

By the time they got home, it was dark, and the fragrant scent of spicy food wafted to her nose the moment she stepped into the house. She couldn’t help but swallow, salivating for the fish that Aunty Janet was cooking.

Diamond went upstairs, changed her clothes and went downstairs.

Aunty Janet wasn’t done cooking, so she waited in the sitting room with the TV on and called her parents.

[Dear, Ruby will be closing school soon. You are coming right?]

Diamond chuckled helplessly when she heard that.

"I am coming. How can I not?"

[Good. We will be waiting!]

Knowing that they would be coming, Ma Perry’s tone softened. Diamond chatted with her parents for a while before hanging up. Aunty Janet was done.

The food was served and feeling lazy to eat in the dining room, she had her food served where she was.

She ate and relished the funny drama on the TV.

It was quite peaceful.

Diamond spent two more hours watching TV before leaving for upstairs. She went to her stuff, where she started checking her emails for any reports that had been sent.

After checking everything, she didn’t leave the study hurriedly but took out her diary and started checking if there was anything that she might have jotted down but had forgotten to do.

Surely after flipping through the diary, she found such events.

After seeing what it was, she hurriedly called for her son.

{Mother, how can I help you?}

Diamond massaged the space between her eyes, thinking about how she had forgotten such a serious matter.

"Andy, help me recruit some talent," she said, feeling a bit stressed.

{Um! What kind?} came Andrea’s puzzled voice came.

She chuckled when she heard that, but still responded as she softened. "I need people with managerial experience. It doesn’t need to be that much. They can be out of university as well. Just find me people who can be trusted. Once you have the list, send it to me. I will screen it out and see whom I can send a recruitment invitation to."

Diamond didn’t mind those who were experienced but if they were too experienced, they might refuse to bend according to her style. So, having half-baked people wouldn’t be that bad. After all, she was planning to have her executive assistants teach them.

Nancy, Garnet and Kiara were doing too much, and she wanted to lessen that burden.

Removing Garnet from the cafes wasn’t something that she was going to do. after all, she only trusted Garnet to safeguard the pellets. There would be more teas in the future that she didn’t let others know much about. So, Garnet shouldn’t leave but she could have people to delegate some of that work to.

After all, the café business was blooming and according to the last report, Garnet was planning on opening the fifth branch. She won’t be able to manage all that by herself. So, she would need some help.

She would find a capable assistant and leave that person to Garnet to handle.

The same was true for the other two. Although the businesses that they were managing already have people managing them. Diamond still preferred having these assistants to oversee everything. Only then would she feel at ease.

The farm so far was still fine. Cain was faring well. The supermarkets now have individual managers. So that was sorted.

Cindy was dealing well with the Gesalsi product shop, but she would need to transfer the right to sell the merchandise to the team that would arrive tomorrow. After all, the merch was part of the studio. She would leave Cindy with what she was supposed to sell only.

Diamond didn’t just think about that, but jotted it down after giving Andrea instructions on what she wanted done.
