Chapter 906 - 904: ARRIVAL OF THE GHOST MERCHANTS

Chapter 906: Chapter 904: ARRIVAL OF THE GHOST MERCHANTS

[Ding! Do you want to sign in?]

Such a good message greeted Diamond the moment she opened her eyes.

All the drowsiness vanished as she sat up straight, the bed covers sliding down her waist.

How could she let such a rare chance slip by?

[Ding! You have been rewarded with 10% shares of Dawkers Group.]

’WTF!’ she exclaimed inwardly as her eyes bulged in surprise upon hearing the reward.

Diamond had received a number of shares ever since she got bound to the system, but it was the first time that she was getting such a large percentage related to a group as a whole. To make matters interesting, she got shares of the seventh-largest family in Frin City.

Just how desperate was the family to sell their shares for them to end up in her hands?

Anyway, the shares were already in her hands, so she had Andrea look into the Dawkers family to find out what they really do. After all, previously, she was only concerned with the list and not the industries.

So, when Andrea brought the news that the family was involved in the transport business, her interest was piqued.

This family happened to be the owners of the local car brand that was affordable. Although she had never thought about buying that brand before. she had seen others driving it and they always say it was good.

Not just that, but it was popular amongst taxis. If she hadn’t learnt that the Dawkers were in the transport business. She wouldn’t have understood why she always saw a lot of those brand as taxis before. now it made sense.

So, should she buy a car and test what it was like?

Perhaps not for her, but for the staff. It should be good, right?

Anyway, the gift was now in her hands, and she would play by ear.

After getting the reward, she was no longer in the mood to sleep. She climbed down the bed, made the bed, opened the windows and headed to the bathroom where she washed her face and brushed her teeth.

She wore her sports gear and put on her earbuds before heading to the garage where she took the bicycle. It’s been days since she got it, but didn’t cycle it. How could she forget to show off her bicycle?

With the bicycle ready, she took out the drone as well. It’s been a while since she broadcast in the morning.

Once the drone was connected, the broadcast rooms were opened, and several viewers flooded in.

That morning, they all watched as Diamond cycled at speed. She didn’t forget to remind the fans to check out the ROCKET CYCLE bikes. When the promotion video came out, she was going to share it, and she hoped that they would share it with the world as well.

She cycled for thirty minutes around the villa before she called it a day. Sweating from the exercise, she returned the bike to the garage and headed upstairs to wash up.

After changing into something fresh, she went downstairs to the dining room where she and Ivy enjoyed a hearty breakfast together before leaving in separate cars.

Ivy was heading to the agency while Diamond was heading to the airport. The ghost merchants arrived pretty early before dawn, but since she was still sleeping, they could only wait until she picked them up.

Diamond drove the SUV and sped to the airport. When she got there, she spotted the familiar SUVs that were parked neatly next to each other.

Diamond drove behind them before taking a turn. At the same time, the merchants in the five SUVs spotted Diamond. It wasn’t a matter of recognizing the car but a matter of recognizing their master wherever she was.

Diamond didn’t even halt the car but drove past the SUVs, and the SUVs followed shortly after.

Diamond drove straight to the Casa Palmera complex. When she got there, she registered the five SUVs before driving to her villa, where she drove straight into the garage, followed by the five cars.

Of course, the appearance of such an entourage attracted a lot of attention. After all, there was something iffy with such a convoy. Anyway, Diamond didn’t have a clue about that. Even if she knew, she wouldn’t bother.

After all, how many events in the world did people know about?

Some things were meant to remain secretive unless they are exposed by mistake.

Inside, Diamond alighted from the car and leaned against the car, waiting for the others to come out. The number of times she had seen them properly could be counted on one hand. She had been looking forward to meeting these ten for a very long time.

Meanwhile, the ten were quite nervous to be honest. They have worked for their mistress for a while now, and their mistress was generous. She had made them stronger and given them a lot of rewards. However, they were more used to appearing for a short while every time. This was going to be the first time working by her side closely and for a long time.

They don’t know how that was going to fare. They were quite nervous.

Nevertheless, regardless of their current emotions, they couldn’t hide in the car forever. Once the cars were turned off, the ten of them alighted from the car and bowed in respect.

"We meet the mistress!" they greeted, their greetings echoing throughout the garage.

Diamond was used to that already. She smiled at them before putting them at ease.

"We are all family. Come and follow me inside!" she said smilingly to them as she led the way.

The ten of them looked at each other before following behind.

Inside the villa, Diamond sat in one of the couches in the main living room, and the ten found their own seats.

Once everyone was seated, Diamond took a closer look at these ten, who varied in skin color. They came from different continents and countries, but all happened to have a similar background. They weren’t good people and had committed a lot of crimes that could have led to their deaths. But by sheer luck, they were found by the system and forced to reform. As long as they serve her faithfully for ten years as her ghost merchants, they could be redeemed, and their slates would be wiped clean.

Who didn’t want such?

Moreover, they found such a merciful mistress as her. If they were bound to someone else. Who knows what kind of evil things they would be forced to commit?

She just hoped that they would use their skills to help her reach new heights. Since at the moment she didn’t feel like donating to those impoverished places. She might as well use these talented mercenaries in training her security team.

Despite being from the army, their skills were lacking. She could only put her hope on these ten and hope that they won’t let her down.

The ghost merchants, being scrutinized by their mistress, were quite nervous. They couldn’t say a word until she spoke. So, they simply sat there, waiting for her to finish observing them. At least they knew that she didn’t harbor any ill intent towards them. Even if she did, they couldn’t do anything to her.

They could only play obediently and wait until she was done.

Thankfully, Diamond didn’t spend much time doing that. The ghost team consisted of six men and four women. It wasn’t discriminatory at all, and she liked that about it. As for the uneven number between men and women, that shouldn’t be considered discrimination, right?

Anyway, after checking the ten of them, her gaze turned to Will Orson, the leader, and she flashed a smile at him.

"You and your team will be staying in the villa during your stay in the country. There are many rooms and you can make your pick," she talked about the villa first.

Once she was done with that, she moved to what was important.

"I hope that during your stay, you will train that security team of mine to be the best. Use all your skills to make them the best. If they can’t take it, then there is no reason for them to remain as my main force. Right now, it might seem like I don’t have any enemies, but we all know that it’s not true at all. So, the sooner I get this done, the sooner I can be at ease."

With the merchants, she didn’t have to be secretive. After all, they were formed to make her life easier, especially regarding the underworld.

There were many times when these hackers would try to hack her information. If she didn’t have such an advanced son like Andrea. All of her information would be in the hands of many people. That was dangerous and could lead to disastrous events.

Taking a look at what happened with Kian, that was an example of something she didn’t want to see happening again. The bodyguards failed to see that they were being monitored. If she hadn’t checked the matter clearly, her parents might have been kidnapped and have something worse done to them.

She had never forgotten about the matter at all. Just that she was busy, but now it was fine. she was going to make sure the merchants train these people until they are perfect. Of course, it would be better if she could keep a merchant or two by her side. That way, she could be at ease. Even if not her, then perhaps her parents and Ruby. She could protect herself but them, that was another story.

So, she discussed with them what she wanted them to do for her, and they were happy to oblige.
