Chapter 1113: Chapter 1113: Four People Ran into Each Other

As soon as Scarlett entered the venue, she grabbed the wrist of the man walking in front of her, complaining, "Why are you walking so fast? I’m right behind you, didn’t you see?"

Xi Zelie pulled her hand away in disgust, extremely cold, "I only agreed to walk the red carpet with you, just to walk. How fast or slow you walk has nothing to do with me."

Originally, he hadn’t even planned to walk the red carpet with her; it was only because of someone else’s request that he accompanied her.

Yet she kept dawdling on the red carpet.

He didn’t like the flash bulbs, nor did he like too much noise. Since she liked it, what was wrong with leaving her behind?

Scarlett could feel the cool fingertips of the hand holding her wrist, her heartbeat involuntarily quickening a beat, and the next second, her hand was mercilessly pulled away.

No matter how slow Scarlett realized things, she sensed Xi Zelie’s rejection of her. Her cheeks flushed slightly red, wanting to argue with him, but then noticed the current setting. She was mindful of her image and had to force a sweet smile while complaining, "Being relatable is a royal family principle. Walking a bit slower is also for the royal image."

"I’m not part of the royal family, so I don’t need to!" Xi Zelie replied indifferently.

"You—" Scarlett was rendered speechless, almost blurting out, "You’re not, but your mother is the Princess."

But she swallowed those words with resentment!

She didn’t want to acknowledge that woman as the Princess!

Who does that woman think she is, to be worthy of being her mother!

Xi Zelie didn’t care what she was thinking at all. His rosy thin lips revealed coldness and indifference, and he said flatly, "I want to find a quiet corner. You probably don’t want to be with me. So let’s part ways here."

"You’re not going to stay with me?" Scarlett couldn’t believe her ears.

Xi Zelie, when it came to women, still retained some gentlemanly demeanor. Although he didn’t like the nominal sister, unrelated by blood, he still patiently answered her, "I don’t like socializing."

He didn’t like such occasions, nor did he like socializing!

He never liked it before, and he won’t like it now. He had left the Xize family before precisely because he didn’t want to attend all those pointless banquets. Even though he was back now, it didn’t mean he had changed his personality.

He came back, just for one person.

That person hadn’t arrived yet, and he wasn’t interested in anyone else. He just wanted to be a bit quiet, without being disturbed! It’s that simple!

"But you..." She hadn’t finished her sentence.

There was a commotion in the hall, with many eyes clearly looking towards the side entrance position.

Scarlett couldn’t help but follow their gaze and immediately saw the dazzling man in the crowd. The kind of brilliance he exuded was different from the brilliance Xi Zelie gave her; it was aggressive, intense, the kind that grabbed your attention at a glance.

Her heart started pounding anxiously.

Just as she was about to approach, she noticed the impossibly dazzling man had someone beside him—a person with merely a simple blue skirt, yet wore it with indescribable comfort.

Although not stunningly beautiful at first glance, the more you looked, the more attractive they seemed. Standing beside such a dazzling man, they somehow didn’t get completely overshadowed.

Together, the two gave off a surprisingly fitting feeling!

Just as this thought arose in Scarlett’s mind, she felt utterly ridiculous!
