Chapter 518: Chapter 164: [Is This Your Home?]

"Woo woo~~" Big White nodded.

"Do you want to take me somewhere? Or show me something?"

"Woo woo!~" Big White nodded again.

Chen Yan felt a strange sense of curiosity and doubt arise in his heart, but after a brief hesitation—after all, he only had two days left in this teleportation, so wherever Big White wanted to take him, it was fine to just go and see.

Going to the other side of Evil Land Mountain could wait until next time.

Thinking about this, Chen Yan relaxed his mind, flipped over, and sat back on Big White’s back, lightly patting Big White’s head: "Let’s go, let me see where you want to take me."

Big White shook his head, suddenly exerted strength with all four limbs, and leapt high into the air, bounding forward over ten meters!

Its paws were thick and wide, and combined with its mystical physique, it ran on the snow like flat ground, carrying Chen Yan as if he didn’t impact its leaps, and in a flash, it had run several hundred meters.

But after a few hundred meters, Big White suddenly veered off course, heading towards the cliff on the side of the mountain ridge. It dashed to the front, and with a leap, its claws clung to the cliff rock, then it pushed off with its hind legs to stand upon it!

Chen Yan hadn’t even reacted when Big White had already carried him up another level, landing on higher rock...

Chen Yan only felt dizzy and amazed, his body light, unable to open his eyes amid the fierce wind. He just felt Big White jumping higher and higher up the mountain ridge cliff...

Suddenly, he felt darkness before him. Big White had already jumped onto a protruding rock on the cliff, and there was surprisingly a cave, just like that it entered!

The cave wasn’t very tall; Chen Yan, sitting on Big White’s back, almost hit his head on the cave ceiling, so he quickly dismounted, feeling the wind howling outside the cave, while the inside was pitch dark...

Looking deeper into the cave, it was bottomless with a faint airflow surging.

The air inside the cave wasn’t unpleasant, probably because of the airflow surging.

Chen Yan also saw, in the corner of the cave on the ground, a pile of skeletal remains, clearly the remnants of a Hunting Beast, with bite marks on them.

"This... could it be your nest? Did you bring me to your home?"

Chen Yan curiously looked at Big White.

Big White simply didn’t respond, but lightly tugged on Chen Yan’s pants with its mouth before letting go, then stretched and walked into the cave.

Chen Yan became more puzzled and thought for a moment, lifting his Long-handled Axe, slinging the Recurve Bow behind him, hanging the quiver at his waist, and pondering a bit, he took out a small flashlight from his backpack and turned it on, following Big White into the cave...

The cave, as they walked deeper, proved astoundingly deep!

Big White walked along, occasionally stopping to wait for Chen Yan.

Chen Yan had already taken off his cap, carefully observing the surroundings along the way.

Though Big White was leading the way, it was still a beast. Despite its human-like traits, it wasn’t human and couldn’t clearly communicate, who knows what might be inside this cave.

·

This cave seemed naturally formed, with no signs of artificial excavation.

It likely resulted from tectonic movements compressing the mountain, deforming the mountain’s internal structure, creating several fissures which formed this cave in the mountain.

After walking for about an hour, there appeared two or three forked paths ahead. Facing these forks, Big White simply snorted and chose a route without hesitation, leading Chen Yan onward.

Chen Yan attempted to stop several times to ask Big White, but this big fellow seemed unmoved, probably unsure how to communicate, simply leading Chen Yan further down.

The cave’s terrain grew lower, even including a section that descended continuously, slowing the pace significantly.

However, within the mountain’s belly, the cave’s temperature was considerably warmer than outside.

Having traveled more, Chen Yan, wearing cold-resistant clothing, even felt his inner garments moist with sweat.

After walking deeper into the mountain for more than an hour, Chen Yan suddenly heard faint sounds from the hallway ahead.

It seemed as though the airflow transmitted the faint sounds from ahead.

Chen Yan immediately paused, listening intently, confirming that he hadn’t misheard. Ahead in the cave, a faint "ting-ting-clang" sound echoed with the airflow.

The sound was dense and scattered, seemingly from more than one source.

Chen Yan’s heart skipped a beat, immediately pocketing the flashlight, gripping the Long-handled Axe tightly, lightening his steps, and stealthily following Big White further down.

Not knowing how long it took, a faint light began to permeate from the cave ahead.

With each step forward, the light grew more pronounced.

Finally, they reached the cave’s end!

The cave opened into a hollow within the mountain belly, standing at its end, exactly halfway through a space inside the mountain. The cave seemed like a little hole mid-waist in the belly’s cavity.

Chen Yan, reaching the end, took a glance downward, immediately flattened himself onto the ground.

From the cave’s edge onward was a cliff-like drop, and gazing around, the mountain cavity’s walls had many similar cave openings.

They resembled natural ventilation holes.

This mountain belly exceeded a hundred meters in height!

At the very center of the mountain belly, a huge black object stepped upright!

Branches and leaves lush and dense, the crown like a canopy! But the whole thing was pitch black!

A massive... tree?!

And beneath this giant tree, at the base on the ground, numerous roots protruded.

The protruding parts formed irregularly shaped bulges.

These bulges varied in size, with some barely the height of a person, while others resembled whole houses.

Surrounding the root bulges beneath the giant tree, there were hundreds of densely packed figures, swinging their hoes diligently, chipping away at variously sized bulges, creating the "ting-ting-clang" sound.

And all these figures were from the Fierce Beast Race!

Chen Yan swallowed hard, his eyes fixed on the central hundred-meter-tall giant tree.

(Is this... the Fierce Beast Race’s Divine Tree?!)
