Chapter 827: The End of the Vampire Lord

Chapter 827: The End of the Vampire Lord

Shane’s Heaven’s Wrath was from his Tattoo Mark called Stormlord’s Brand.

[ Legendary Tattoo – “Stormlord’s Brand”

[ Skill Unlocked: “Heaven’s Wrath”

Effect: Summons a localized storm for 10 seconds. The user triggers chain lightning on his target and stuns them briefly… ]

As he triggered his Stormpiercer Rifle and his Heaven’s Wrath, the shot didn’t just strike Statham, it detonated.

The projectile punched through the weakened Blood Sphere, creating a path of lightning straight into Statham.

Boom!

The resulting explosion smelled like burned blood as the Vampire Lord faltered.

The shock destabilized the Blood Sphere completely, and it no longer protected the other Vampire Knights around him…

These Vampire Knights had then become vulnerable to the Reaper Mech Frame’s attacks!

Indeed, with the Shield broken, the Reapers went from suppression to slaughter.

Their targeting converged on the remaining Knights.

Mini cannons and spirit rounds tore through their remaining defenses…

There was no need to question the Reaper’s precision shot as they easily severed the bodies of the Vampire Knights.

One by one, the Vampire Knights fell, reduced to ash or smoking bodies…

Statham didn’t even have the chance to shatter them and consume their blood. They died so quickly and had been wasted!

Statham staggered, one hand on the crown of his skull…

There was a blood congealing along his jaw. He was still dangerous, but he had definitely suffered from that sniper…

As he felt that the sniper would attack once again, the Vampire Lord roared…

He was hoping that this sound wave attack wouldn’t be blocked by any more of the Floating Fortress’s barrier.

Soon, he attempted one last gamble. He cast a wave of blood-sorcery!

He suddenly became a form of blood liquid and went straight up toward the fortress’s base…

He was aiming to cloak himself in mist and slip through the wrecked Barrier as he dissolved into a swarm of blood-forms.

The plan might have worked if not for the Reapers’ targeting!

They all just fired a concentrated burst right through the dispersing blood, scattering the mist and igniting the remaining sorcery into harmless embers!

Statham reformed his body as he couldn’t take any more damage from that suppression fire…

Then, for a moment, he glared directly at the fortress, and Shane met that stare…

However, at this time, Shane was already using his Telekinesis.

Statham was completely unaware when he saw Shane, the latter had already delivered one of his precious items…

[ High-Yield Plasma Bombs: Detonates on impact, vaporizing everything in a 20-meter radius.

Bonus Effect: Leaves a lingering ion field that disrupts energy for an hour. ]

[ Note: This item can not be upgraded. ]

It was an item he had obtained from the underground base of the New Genesis Shelter.

Boom!

As soon as the plasma bomb was detonated, the Vampire Lord took it and tried to block with everything he had.

He almost seemed capable of surviving the blast, but as he was thrown to the ground, the plasma bomb’s explosion followed…

Boom!

It shook the fortress a little, but it wasn’t too much.

Still, in just a few moments, the fireball finally died down.

The only thing left of Statham was a warped crater and a pool of sizzling blood that quickly evaporated.

Ding!

Shane’s heart skipped for a moment.

[ Title: Vampire Slayer ]

Passive Effect: Immunity to any blood curses.

He exhaled slowly. The fight was over… but the system wasn’t finished yet. He didn’t even need to loot the Vampire Lord as he was already given all the rewards that he needed.

[ Loot Acquired:

Then the system paused, as though weighing something special.

[ Special Loot Detected ]

[ Divine Crystal of the Vampire Lord ]

Shane’s eyes widened. This was the first time this had ever happened.

‘Is it because he’s from a different Apocalypse?’ Shane mused as he knew that Statham was from Vampire’s Rise Apocalypse.

He shouldn’t even be here in the first place.

The only reason he was able to come here was because of something that made him capable of travelling through various realms.

Perhaps Shane would be able to find out his secrets with this Divine Crystal.

[ Divine Crystal of the Vampire Lord ]

Description: A condensed soul fragment of a Vampire Lord, created only upon their death. Contains their divine lineage and evolution path.

Effect: Can be absorbed by the user.

Option 1: Transform into a Vampire, gaining access to the Blood Path.

Option 2: Absorb the Crystal without changing race. Gain a permanent increase to vitality, regeneration, and night affinity.

Warning: Once chosen, it cannot be undone. ]

‘A race change item…?’ Shane clenched his fists. He had seen countless crystals before—Beast Cores, Essence Shards, even mutated Zombie Hearts—but this was something else. A Divine Crystal wasn’t just power. It was legacy.

Ding!

[ Reward: +2,000 Reputation Points. ]

[ Reward: Rare Memory Sphere – “Lord’s Battle Instincts” (Passive). ]

“Wow… This is a lot…” Shane muttered as this certainly showed how important it was to kill this Realm Invader.

The loot window had nearly overflowed in front of him.

Still, Shane could tell that the Mech Pilots were looking at him, confirming the kill or not…

Their scanners were still tracking the dispersing ashes as if wary the Vampire Lord might reappear.

But the system never lied. Statham was gone.

He immediately informed everyone about this through their open channel.

“He’s dead… I got the confirmation, everyone… Good work.” Shane said, and everyone finally heaved a sigh of relief.

This was what they were waiting for.

“Hahaha! We did it!”

“The nasty bloodsuckers are finally dead!”

“No more Vampires…”

“Does it mean that the Silver Weapon’s sale would drop because of this?”

The pilots wondered aloud as they all celebrated the death of the Vampire Lord.

As for the last question, Shane wasn’t sure about it either.

Shane then closed the loot window.

For now, he didn’t bother to inspect every single piece of equipment or skill sphere.

There would be time for that later. Right now, he had more pressing matters, the people who had risked their lives on the ground.

The Floating Fortress shifted as Shane adjusted its course toward Tessa’s location.

Slowly, the massive structure descended closer to the ruined city outskirts where Tessa and her scouts had led the thirty-four survivors.

Soon, the elevator descended…

“Bring them up,” Shane ordered.

Then, Tessa gave a signal, and soon the survivors, guided by scouts, were ushered onto the platform.

They looked like ghosts.

Thin, pale, hollow-eyed, they barely had the strength to walk, and a few collapsed the moment they set foot on the solid surface of the lift.

Their malnourished frames spoke louder than words.

As the lift rose back into the Fortress, Shane had already summoned the medical team. Although Anna was not here, they still had a few medical practitioners with complete kits in their hands.

“Begin full checks. Prioritize wounds and infection scans.” Shane instructed.

The medics moved quickly.

Each survivor was scanned for injuries, and most importantly, signs of zombie bites or viral contamination.

Soon, Shane felt relieved within the hangar as initial checks came back clean.

A few cuts, bruises, and lash marks were treated immediately.

Healing patches were applied, and even small doses of energy tonics were given to stabilize their condition.

The change was instant.

The moment they realized they were being treated with free food, tears welled in their eyes as they tasted real food again.

For now, Shane remained silent, just watching for a while. He wasn’t here to be praised by the group… He wanted to make sure they felt safe first so he could get more information from them…

His presence had, of course, attracted some attention…

“Rest easy. You’re safe now,” Shane said…

“No harm will come to you here. But I need to understand what you’ve been through, and what the vampires were doing here.”

No one spoke, but Shane continued.

“Tell me about your situation. How long were you held? Did you see what else they were building or preparing?”

There was silence for a moment… Then, an older man stepped forward.

“We heard that they were preparing something deeper… a ritual beneath the city. Something that required blood, our blood. They said it was meant to open a gate.”
