Chapter 798: Overlord Clan’s Preparations
Power Cores are really important since they do not have a source of electricity yet.
Indeed, if they needed light, they could just farm for Flasher Zombies’ light orbs. However, Power Cores weren’t just for giving light, they could be used for their various machines, barrier generators, electric fence, or other weapons that require a large amount of power..
With the 50 Power Cores, Reylin wouldn’t have to worry about their supply for two or maybe three months.
Tundra nodded since the Power Cores could save them Spirit Stones or even Mana Crystals that Shane would bring from time to time.
“Not bad. That’s going to be useful once we’re back at the Shelter.”
“And that’s not all,” Reylin smirked as she swiped through the other notifications.
“Remember those extra crates of shotgun ammunition we picked up last time? I put some of them for trade on the Exchange. They’re gone too, traded them for some potions.”
“That’s smart. Shane’s already phasing out the shotguns.” Tundra said approvingly.
No one was using shotguns anymore. It was only useful in the early stages of the event. Right now, rifles are better.
“There’s more.” Reylin leaned back in her chair, clearly satisfied with herself.
“I also listed that Legendary Dagger I got from one of the Zombie Kings… I never used it, but someone offered a set of advanced construction tools in return. I grabbed that trade immediately.”
The Dagger she was talking about was already damaged. Repairing it would not be easy since it was a Legendary Grade…
Using that dagger in a battle would be dangerous since it could just shatter mid-fight.
In short, only a high-ranking craftsman would desire that item in an attempt to restore it or use its parts. Realizing that, Reylin decided to request various construction materials for the Legendary Dagger…
After all, Legendary Items weren’t easy to obtain. Even if you have enough Item Upgrade Crystals, they aren’t guaranteed to enhance an item up to Legendary Grade.
Tundra grinned as he chewed another bite of flatbread. “You’ve been busy. That’s going to save the workers a ton of time at the Shelter. The steward’s going to be happy when he hears about this.”
Reylin nodded, her mood was visibly lifted after seeing the various notifications from his device. “I thought those items were just collecting dust in my inventory. But now? We got Power Cores, medkits, and construction tools. Nice…”
Tundra smiled after seeing this as he lifted his cup… “To Reylin the trader. Who knew you’d turn into such a merchant?”
Reylin rolled her eyes but clinked her cup against his. “Shut up. Let’s just finish our coffee. Once the event ends, we’ll head straight back to Blood Talon and put all this to use.”

In the meantime, at the far end of the Market Bazaar, in a bustling tavern that was filled with resting Survivors, who were waiting for the event’s end or their 2-hour bid to be completed, Lancelot, Clan Leader of the Overlord Clan, could also be seen resting, and he was no longer wearing any disguise, like from the start.
There was no longer a need to hide their identity as they had already obtained the items that they needed.
Beside him sat Lesley, his Vice Leader, who had a goblet of crimson liquor while quietly reviewing the list of purchases they had secured.
Though they had failed to outbid certain competitors during the Apex Auction Hall, the Grand Auction Hall had more than made up for it.
The Overlord Clan’s assets were lighter, but what they gained was worth every point.
“Not a bad haul…” Lancelot said, raising his mug in a small toast.
Right now, he believed that his opponent wasn’t just the Zombies. After all, they had already obtained some potions that could stop the virus from infecting them.
It wasn’t a lot, but it would be useful for the leaders or valuable personnel within the Clan.
At this time, he was more worried about the other Clans from getting too strong. They had to be properly suppressed if needed.
“Once we return, we should immediately use five of our Advanced Shelter Crystals.” Lesley muttered.
“Yes… With the items we got, this will be the foundation of dominance. The Eclipse Revenant Clan won’t be at the top forever. The Alliance will rise, and we’ll be the ones leading it.”
Lesley chuckled as she knew about Lancelot’s obsession to become number one…
“Mhmm… Shane might be first on the Leaderboard now, but strength alone doesn’t run a continent. Strategy does. With what we secured, we’re set to expand twice as fast.”
She then glanced at the bottom of the list she had written…
Aside from the various supplies and weapons that they acquired, what was listed there were the Recruitment Stones, hundreds of them.
They also obtained a batch of Enhanced Spirit Stones to accelerate the growth of their core members…
Furthermore, they obtained dozens of Barrier Generators, even the mobile ones that they could use for temporary bases or shielding caravans on the move.
Then, they also obtained various Blueprints that could surely improve their current situation in the continent…
Lancelot chuckled as he looked at one of the blueprints they obtained.
“With the Spirit Forge alone, we can outproduce half the smaller Clans. Add the barrier generators, and our caravans will no longer fear ambushes. This is how I’ll build my empire, Lesley.”
If they really managed to create the Spirit Forge, they would be able to start producing weapons and armor infused with Spirit, rather than relying solely on Item Upgrade Crystals to improve the works of their craftsmen.
After all, even with the Item Upgrade Crystals, they wouldn’t necessarily have strong mystical effects… Furthermore, upgrading them beyond their capacity would normally lead to destruction.
“And don’t forget the crates of enchanted ammunition,” Lesley added with a chuckle.
Those crates could probably fill up 20 trucks.
They really spent a lot of Points on that. After all, it would be their best answer against Shane’s Warden Units in case they had to fight in the future!
