Chapter 942: Chapter 931: Do You Have No Bottom Line in Your Actions?

In this loan shark company, apart from those collecting payments, two-thirds of the people borrowing money here are either addicts or gambling scoundrels. Only a small minority, like Xiao Ba, are people who genuinely encountered hardships and urgently need money.

The infamous nature of loan sharks is never good. Interest compounds upon interest, day after day, each day with a different rate. If you don’t settle it one day, the next brings a large added sum. Many people have been ruined by this, losing their families and their lives.

At this moment, Ning Fan and Xiao Ba were surrounded by four or five men, and Xiao Ba pointed out that it was these very men who had beaten him up yesterday.

Ning Fan nodded, narrowing his eyes as he scanned the group. Though dressed in suits, they were nothing but wolves in sheep’s clothing, likely the enforcers tasked with collecting payments.

Upon learning that these men were indeed responsible for the beating, Ning Fan wasn’t inclined to give them any courtesy. The corner of his mouth curved into a cold smile as he asked, “Was it you who beat him up yesterday?”

Hearing Ning Fan’s question, the men froze for a moment before bursting out in uproarious laughter.

As their laughter echoed, the surrounding people couldn’t help but turn to watch the commotion, including a burly man who had been admonishing someone earlier. Noticing Xiao Ba, he strode over with an amused smirk on his face.

“Well, well, I was wondering why this little punk came back today. Looks like he brought a backup with him. Hahaha!”

As if witnessing something hilariously absurd, the brass-knuckled man guffawed, clutching his stomach in merriment.

The other men also mocked Ning Fan and Xiao Ba without holding back.

Ning Fan dug into his ear indifferently, his expression cold as he remarked casually, “Where’s this fly buzzing from? It’s really annoying me.”

As those words left his lips, the surrounding people’s expressions changed drastically, especially the men encircling Ning Fan and Xiao Ba. His tone immediately infuriated them, their eyes glaring and brows furrowed in displeasure.

“Kid, if you didn’t bring any money today, then you’re not leaving. This place will be your new home! As for your family, we’ll make sure someone visits and ‘takes care’ of her every day!”

“You dare?!”

Xiao Ba exclaimed emotionally. It was evident that the man speaking had just used Xiao Ba’s mother as leverage to intimidate him.

The debt collectors, seeing Xiao Ba’s agitated response, burst into laughter again, their expressions dripping with disdain and mockery.

“Dare or not, you’re welcome to give it a try!”

The burly man sneered coldly. Since he dared to utter the words, it was obvious he intended to follow through should Xiao Ba fail to pay today.

With Xiao Ba’s mother as a hostage, wouldn’t Xiao Ba obediently surrender to them in the end?

“Do you people really have no bottom line in how you conduct yourselves?”

Ning Fan’s voice broke through, icy and sharp. The surrounding people instinctively shivered, a chill creeping through the room.

The burly man frowned and glanced strangely at Ning Fan, shaking his head as though dismissing the sensation as his own imagination. Then, without hesitation, he rudely barked, “And who the hell are you? Do you think you have a say here? If you’ve got no money, get the hell out of here, or I’ll smash all your teeth and make you swallow every single one!”

His voice brimmed with malice, but to Ning Fan, it was utterly ineffective.

With a faint smile, Ning Fan asked calmly, “What did you just say? Could you repeat that?”

“Hahaha, about to meet your end and still clueless? Fine, I’ll say it one last time—if you act up here again, I’ll smash your teeth to pieces and make you swallow them!”

The man was already prepared to strike as soon as he finished speaking.

But in the very next moment, Ning Fan’s expression shifted to one of dawning realization, as he softly murmured, “Ah, so that’s what you meant?”

The next instant, a shadow flickered across everyone’s vision, and Ning Fan disappeared from their sight.

“Aaaaahhhhhh!”

As everyone scrambled to figure out where he had gone, a scream suddenly rang out beside them.

Instinctively, Xiao Ba whipped his head around, his mouth falling open in shock at the scene before him.

The man who had just been speaking was now writhing on the ground, blood pouring from his mouth as he clutched his face, several teeth scattered beside him.

“I won’t feed them to you. You go ahead and eat them yourself. How do they taste?”

Ning Fan gazed coldly at the man on the ground. How dare they act insolently before him? Back in the day, Ning Fan had been fiercer than they ever could fathom.

“You damned bastard! You’re begging to die!”

A man finally snapped out of it, wiped the sweat from his forehead, and yelled at Ning Fan.

The next moment, the group lunged at Ning Fan together!

Bam! Bam! Bam!

Three loud thuds sounded in quick succession. No one could quite see what had happened before three of them were clutching their mouths, curled up on the ground in pain.

In the blink of an eye, Ning Fan had shattered their teeth with a single punch each.

At the same time, the four men remaining began to tremble uncontrollably, their gazes toward Ning Fan now filled with utter terror. They realized, to their horror, that they had messed with someone completely beyond their reckoning.

“Where’s the person in charge here?”

Ignoring the men writhing on the floor, Ning Fan turned to the surrounding crowd and uttered the question. Aside from avenging Xiao Ba against the enforcers, he also intended to settle the matter of the loan shark debt once and for all.

Suddenly, the din of chaotic voices spilled forth from deeper inside the building. A group of suited men rushed over, halting in dismay as they absorbed the sight of those severely injured on the floor. They glanced at Ning Fan, piecing together the sequence of events almost immediately.

Standing nearby, Xiao Ba unconsciously swallowed hard. He hadn’t yet recovered from the barrage of shocks when another wave came—an even larger group was storming toward Ning Fan!

Xiao Ba reflexively shut his eyes in sheer fright.

“A bunch of weaklings. It doesn’t matter how many of you there are!”

Ning Fan sneered, grabbing a baton and lunging at the incoming group.

The cries of pain grew louder and more chaotic compared to those earlier, forming a bizarre symphony of suffering. Ning Fan’s silhouette darted relentlessly, the baton in his hands smashing countless foes to the ground.

Before long, the floor was littered with men nursing broken limbs, their anguished groans melding into a cacophony that turned the entire office space into a scene of misery.

The people who had come to borrow money stared, mouths agape, utterly dumbfounded.

“Who dares to cause trouble in my place? Do you even know who’s backing me?!”
