Chapter 1335: Chapter 1336: An Yiqing Saves Someone (1)

First People’s Hospital in Jinyin City, after An Yiqing left the Yu Family, she came here.

"Miss, who exactly are you looking for? Do you know anyone in this hospital?" An Zhifeng touched his nose in confusion and glanced around.

"No, I’m looking for someone I don’t know."

An Yiqing walked straight into the hospital lobby’s reception center, "Nurse, may I ask Zhao—"

"Xiao Wang! Chief Zhao’s wife’s condition has worsened, quickly call the dean to come over!"

An Yiqing hadn’t finished her sentence when a rushed voice interrupted. The nurse mentioned glanced apologetically at An Yiqing before turning to pick up the phone and busily dialed.

Neither An Yiqing nor An Zhifeng spoke, instead they turned to look at a group of hurried doctors. Their faces looked grim, their steps quick, occasionally discussing something with the people beside them.

"Miss, should I find someone and ask around?" An Zhifeng asked.

"No need to ask, I think I’ve found that person."

An Yiqing watched the group of doctors with a light smile and followed along.

Advanced Level 502 ward in First People’s Hospital, the usually quiet corridor was now crowded with hurried doctors and nurses, along with the patient’s family.

Among these people, a tall man in his forties stood out conspicuously. Not due to his handsome looks, but because of his righteous and commanding aura.

At this moment, the man’s face was somewhat pale, his tightly clenched hands revealing his inner unease and concern. His sharp eyes were filled with urgency, staring intently at the ward door, as if trying to bore a hole through it with his gaze.

Upon seeing a group of doctors in white coats hurry over, he swiftly moved to meet them.

"Professor Zhang, please save my wife! You must save her!"

Leading the group was an elder with graying hair, around sixty years old. Looking at the man’s pleading face, he couldn’t help but sigh: "Chief Zhao, I’ll do my utmost. But your wife’s heatstroke is quite tricky, we haven’t found a clear way to cure it yet. I’ll try my best!"

Having said that, Professor Zhang led the group of doctors briskly into the ward, isolating Chief Zhao’s gaze.

"Miss, what is heatstroke?" An Zhifeng asked in confusion.

An Yiqing withdrew her gaze from Chief Zhao and gave An Zhifeng a brief explanation: "Heatstroke is actually severe sunstroke, caused by high temperatures leading to dysfunction of the body’s temperature regulation, excessive internal heat accumulation, which can damage nerves and organs. This illness is essentially severe sunstroke, a fatal condition with a high mortality rate. If first aid is improperly administered, respiratory failure can occur instantly. Even if they manage to save the person, there may be permanent brain damage or other conditions left behind."

The mortality rate for heatstroke ranges from twenty to seventy percent, with patients over fifty possibly reaching as high as eighty percent. Of course, it’s not guaranteed that everyone who gets heatstroke will die or have aftereffects, but if the condition is severe and first aid is delayed, it can truly lead to death or lifelong disability.

"Damn, how is this illness so terrifying? I’ve never heard of it before," An Zhifeng scratched his nape, greatly surprised.

"Your brothers are as healthy as bulls, naturally, you’ve never heard of it. Chief Zhao’s wife’s health was never good, she had a difficult birth, and after contracting heatstroke recently, she’s been hospitalized and undergone first aid multiple times."
