Chapter 1752: Chapter 1752: Worry (2)

After some self-mockery, Yang Ruxin shrugged off these thoughts and started to get busy. First, she harvested the mature crops, fish, and shrimp from the field, then picked up the hoe to start working on the ten-acre plot.

To reap results from the ten-acre land, one must work diligently without skipping a step, from plowing to marking rows, sowing seeds, and watering, not a single step can be omitted.

Of course, there’s one consideration that seems to favor the owner: the crops within this space don’t attract pests or disease, nor do they grow weeds, which saves a lot of trouble.

Since there were no cattle or plows in the space, she could only use a hoe to work the land bit by bit. Fortunately, the earth wasn’t too dry, so it wasn’t too strenuous, but the size of the field was overwhelming, and she wasn’t accustomed to farming given that she hadn’t done it in either of her lifetimes. Thus, she soon grew tired like never before.

Every grain in the dish comes from hard work!

No, she had to quickly bring in an ox to plow the field; turning over the soil was too exhausting, her hands were already blistered.

Besides this plot, there was also the ten-acre pond. She imagined planting lotus and breeding fish there, and envisioned seeing a beautiful spread of lotus flowers which would lift her spirits. However, the vastness of the water surface posed quite a dilemma; she might even need a boat for it. More crucially, she didn’t know how to plant lotus.

Yang Ruxin couldn’t help but sigh towards the heavens. Isn’t this magical space supposed to automate the labor? Why does she seem to be the only unfortunate owner who has to work herself?

If only she could bring Gu Qingheng in to do the labor for her.

After grumbling for a while, she managed to do what she could first, planning to ask advice from the farming experts upon returning, then go back inside to sow seeds once she’d learned.

The only thing that comforted her was the grassy patch, where she had previously tossed two sheep and several chicks. They appeared to have grown quite well now.

Two hours later, Yang Ruxin wiped the sweat from her forehead, looked at the mostly turned earth, and felt a sense of accomplishment. Subsequently, she nibbled on a carrot while soaking in a bath, then exited the space.

Just as she lay down in bed, footsteps sounded outside in the courtyard, and after about fifteen minutes, someone was ascending the stairs.

Yang Ruxin sat up.

"You’re still awake?" Gu Qingheng, already washed, walked over.

"I can’t sleep without you." Yang Ruxin shifted inward, "How did it go?"

"I chatted with the Prince briefly; he went into the palace early to see the Crown Prince." Gu Qingheng took off his shoes, "As for what to do, that’s their business." He wasn’t privileged enough to enter the palace at will, so he had to deliver messages through Qi Jingyi. "Moreover, Weng Xin has sent news, confirming that they have trained a batch of Medicinal Soldiers over there..."

"I have a concern..." Yang Ruxin furrowed her brow, "If, just if, Qi Jingyun heads south, might he... might he use the opportunity to stage a rebellion or..."

Gu Qingheng shook his head: "I don’t know." Human thoughts are hard to read, and he worried about that too.

Yang Ruxin exhaled; intuitively, she felt that although Qi Jingyun harbored ambitions to ascend the throne, he wouldn’t be so ruthless as to invite disaster upon himself. She hoped she wasn’t misjudging him.

"Enough, let’s not dwell on this, it’s not something you can control." Gu Qingheng patted Yang Ruxin’s head, "Let’s sleep."

"Right." Yang Ruxin instantly smiled, for now, the most important thing was cuddling her man to sleep.

Gu Qingheng looked at the woman cuddling beside him like a kitten and smiled: "There’s one more thing I need to inform you of."
