Chapter 1030: Lisa’s Battle
"Bring it on!"
From the tower’s side, Cyper raised a hand, and one of the airships simply froze midair, its momentum suspended as if the wind itself had forgotten how to push it forward.
Liora followed with a snap of her fingers, reversing the path of an incoming mana projectile so that it exploded inside the ship it came from!
Elysia’s time magic was different. She didn’t slow time—she accelerated it for the defenders, letting arrows and spells strike with double their normal speed, overwhelming the Chaos Immortals’ initial countermeasures...
It wouldn’t kill the Chaos Immortals, but it would surely cause a lot of trouble, and if they were unprepared and had lowered their guards, it could also injure them!
Just like that, the sky became a war zone.
Airships struggled to maintain their positions as bursts of temporal distortion interrupted their maneuvers.
"Hoo~ These guys are amazing..." Thassa commented after realizing that they had suddenly become easy targets after boarding the Airships.
"They’re using Temporal Spells. They’re Time Manipulators. Why was no one informed about it?" Gyn frowned.
"If they didn’t want to be found, I’m sure they could do so. We’re not that great in terms of gathering information anyway. We’re only good at creating havoc and destruction." Kent muttered as he was also unsure about the existence of Time Manipulators.
Although there were rumors, they simply had no idea how to validate such information.
Soon, Vampire Queen Lisa uncapped a bottle containing Orden’s blood. This Dragon Blood complemented her Vampiric Abilities, and with the Sovereign Artifacts in her possession, together with the support of her three Time Manipulators, she felt confident enough to make her move in front of the Chaos Immortals.
She wasn’t worried that she would get captured at all.
"Let’s see how scary you all are..." Lisa chuckled as she appeared in front of one of the Airships.
Boom!
With a burst of draconic and vampiric power, the Chaos Immortals suddenly failed to cast spells... It was only a brief moment, but Lisa’s figure darted between them, cutting through Chaos Beasts that the enemies planned to send out!
Indeed, the Chaos Immortals planned to release these Chaos Beasts once the barrier of the Tower was destroyed.
However, they didn’t expect that the Vampire Queen would be so bold as to the point of going out of her shelter!
They believed that she would have no other choice but to stay inside her tower and defend it until her last breath!
They were very strong!
"Fine... you’re strong, Vampire... But your strength wouldn’t last forever..." Kent said as he tried to release another Spell, Insanity Pulse...
However, it was completely ineffective.
Kent and the others had never fought against Vampires after all. They weren’t aware that her species was immune to mind control or debuff that targets their mind!
But the Chaos Immortals were far from helpless.
If one spell didn’t work, they could try using multiple types of Spells until they found something effective!
However, it was not easy as Lisa was too fast!
Their spells couldn’t lock on her because of that...
"Useless beasts..." Lisa muttered as she realized that the Chaos Beasts that were summoned by the Immortals weren’t as strong as she thought...
With her Blood Knives, Life Drain, and Blood Explosion, she was able to deal with most of the Beasts in just a few seconds.
Because of that, the Chaos Immortals wanted to cast a strong Spell that could cover not only Lisa but also the whole Immortal Tower...
"Stop... Let me deal with her." Kent said as he stepped onto the deck of one of the airships...
With a single wave of his hand, he unleashed a blast that ripped through three of the city’s defensive barriers in one strike.
Even the Immortal Tower’s defense shook for several seconds...
***
"Isn’t that a bit too cruel? If not for the barriers we placed, those ordinary people would’ve been vaporized with that move... Are you not afraid of your bad karma accumulating?"
The moment Kent’s blast faded, Lisa appeared with her form appearing with half of her body formed from blood...
Everyone could tell that Lisa was indeed an Immortal who had reached the level where she could revive from a single drop of blood.
"Are you the Lord of the Chaos Immortals? Clan Leader? Or something similar?" Lisa asked as she appeared unbothered by the presence of 30 or so Chaos Immortals surrounding her.
Kent smirked. "I’m Kent... Just Kent... Not the Lord or Leader you’re thinking of... I heard you’re the infamous Vampire Queen. I’m curious to see if your arrogance is earned."
Without another word, they moved.
Divinity against Divinity...
The clash of their first strike sent a shockwave tearing across the ship’s deck...
"Are you sure you want to fight me alone? Why not ask for their help?" Lisa laughed as she used her blade, soaked with blood and filled with faint draconic flame...
"Hahaha... I thought of killing you for your arrogance, but now, I can tell that you’re using Dragon’s Blood... I need you to tell me more about it." Kent’s eyes were filled with greed as he clearly sensed that Lisa was using Draconic powers.
It means that there might be a true dragon within this realm!
If that were true, then they might truly advance to the next level even without having enough Divinity in this realm!
Kent’s Chaos Spear suddenly pulsed with swirling black and violet energy...
Lisa didn’t understand what Kent was trying to say, but she knew that he couldn’t let Orden and Ryzoir get captured by these Immortals.
Kent struck Lisa with his spear, and it was filled with Chaotic Force that could probably shatter her defenses if she was not careful...
Lisa didn’t dare to take it head-on as she evaded the attack by spinning...
However, Kent’s spear was like a snake that could follow her movements... Because of that, Lisa had no choice but to use her Vampiric Force to deflect and redirect the spear’s tip.
This happened several times, and every parry she made was taking a toll on her body...
’So this is Chaos Arts... I can’t even use my Divinity at full force... What a terrifying ability.’ Lisa frowned.
