Chapter 1027: Purge
With the Insanity Pulse clouding the minds of the Arcanists who should defend the city, the Chaos Arts Immortals had a lot easier time dealing with the Golems that could only act on their instinct.
In less than an hour, the Goldendawn fell without a proper fight.
It was such a tragic event since even the Vampire Knights that Queen Lisa had arranged to come to this place didn’t escape from being caught by the spell.
Still, the Stormrock, the third city, lasted the longest.
The Combat and Knight Arcanists here were known for their discipline. About 350 of them stood in formation outside the city gates, weapons drawn and armor reinforced with enchantments.
The strongest among them, a Knight-Captain wielding a blazing thunder hammer, led the charge personally...
"Kill the invaders!"
Their unified battle formation was impressive—until a Chaos Immortal unleashed a wave of chaotic gravity.
"Flesh Collapse."
It was brutal...
As soon as the spell was cast, the air twisted, and their bones crumbled. The battlefield turned into a graveyard before their feet could even move.
"Brave," the Immortal said as he walked past their shattered remains. "But pointless."
All of this was reported by a Vampire Scout from afar...
The scout also knew that he had been noticed by the Immortals all this time, but because of his insignificant strength, they just couldn’t be bothered to eliminate him.
After all, this kingdom was locked down, and no one would be able to escape.

In the meantime, within the northwest, the Thornwatch City, home to more than 400 Arcanists, mostly trained in Beast Arts, Summoning, and Transformation, was the next to fall.
They did their best...
Hundreds of tamed or summoned beasts, from Dire Wolves to Feathered Manticores, were unleashed in a frenzy to defend the city.
The Beast Arts Practitioners led them...
The Summoners just continued to call forth powerful beasts from other realms, and Transformation Arcanists took on monstrous forms themselves—fur, claws, wings, fangs.
It was such a well-planned defense, and even the largest Arcanist Organizations wouldn’t be able to easily overpower them.
"What a wonderful sight..." Thassa couldn’t help but appreciate the struggle of the Arcanists. This city was definitely a powerful one.
They had a well-thought-out security plan in order to deal with invaders.
He could even feel several Master Arcanists doing a ritual to summon a powerful Being or Creature...
’That must be a Forbidden Ritual with the power they’re trying to gather.’ At this point, Thassa wouldn’t be surprised if an Immortal were suddenly summoned out of it.
He was quite interested to see what kind of being it was but unfortunately, he didn’t want to spend too much time in this place...
After gathering his Divinity, he used his Immortal Spell... Although this realm barely had any Divinity that could help him recover his strength, he didn’t mind it at all.
They had to make this subjugation fast...
"Chaos Drain." Thassa muttered.
In an instant, the summoned beasts shrieked in agony...
Those summoned with only Arcane Energy had their forms dissolving as if they were illusions. The bonded familiars also collapsed and turned to ash.
Beast Art practitioners, including many of the Summoners, screamed in pain, as if something had been torn from their souls.
Then, the Transformation Arcanists reverted to human form.
They all dropped naked and helpless as they crawled on the ground like insects. They were defeated just like that.
None of them could actually defend against Divinity.s
"You rely too much on others for strength... Still pathetic..." Thassa said flatly.
He believed that the Beast Arts, Transformation Arts, and Summoning Arts Practitioners were the most useless Arcane Arts among all the others.
"If I’m getting my own territory as we’ve talked about... I’ll be banning these three Arcane Arts. They’re just filled with flaws." Thassa sighed.
He believed that Chaos Arts was the superior Arcane Arts, but that doesn’t mean he was willing to teach it to others.
Because of that, he considered that once he owned a land, most of his people would be practicing other arcane arts except the three he hated.
If they wanted to practice Chaos Arts, they had to please him first and qualify from a long list of requirements.
At this point, Thassa smiled as he was already imagining his victory.

"We’re here..." Kent muttered. He was part of the fifth group of Chaos Immortals and they didn’t even face resistance.
They arrived at Heliarest, a quiet scholarly city where most Arcanists focused on Holy, Psychic, and Mystic Arts.
As soon as they arrived, the leaders tried to invite them for a discussion about their surrender...
They were simply following the king’s orders.
It was a mistake.
Kent didn’t want some powerful or influential figures to roam around while they were leading this kingdom.
They only needed a few people, and they must eliminate the ones at the top...
Kent accepted the discussion as he wanted to swiftly gather all the leading figures of the city.
"This is a lot easier than I thought..." Kent muttered to himself.
He also didn’t like harming ordinary people... As an Immortal, it would cost him a lot, and that was not worth the price.
Soon, as he was brought to five or so people who were the leaders of this city, he immediately used his Spell, so the minds of the negotiators were corrupted...
"Soul Wound, huh... That’s an impressive leader... I didn’t even sense when you cast it until I noticed the effects." Eryn muttered after watching Kent subdue all the leaders.
Their Psychic defenses meant nothing. Their Holy Talismans shattered, and their mystic barriers cracked like thin glass against his Spell...
None of their passive abilities worked at all...
Still, a white-robed priest who had been secretly watching everything from another room, decided to act...
However, he was also hit by the Soul Wound... He tried casting a Divine Smite, only for his body to implode, leaving behind nothing but a charred robe!
"You’re so cruel, Kent... That’s a priest!" Eryn chuckled after seeing the remains of the priest.
"Ha~ You’re worse than me, Eryn... I still remember how to played around with your victims and made them suffer. I’m at least quick on my job." Kent replied as he finally turned his attention to the capital city, where the Immortal Tower was located.
