Chapter 803: Chapter 33: Upheaval in the Royal Capital (Part 1)_3

“Ah Ce, I’m telling you about the current situation in the city. Analyze the intelligence and prepare for battle!”

·

“I’m thinking, I’m thinking! Yuliy, do we have a light source?”

Gongsun Ce and Yuliy sprinted down the streets of the Inner City District, a map of the capital city clutched in his hand, a trinket pilfered from a gift shop. His telekinesis stretched to its limits under his guidance, supporting collapsed houses, rescuing citizens from the hands of phantoms and beasts of desire.

“Use this.”

Yuliy tossed him a portable light source made by the Knight Order, each seed-like object illuminating brightly once infused with power. Gongsun Ce manipulated the light to disperse in all directions, scattering the darkness, making the phantoms wail and retreat. In the places they raced through, clusters of ice crystals could be seen freezing the beastly phantoms—there was no time to conceal their mysterious means, as protecting the citizens’ lives was the top priority!

Gongsun Ce’s fingertips moved swiftly over the map, speaking rapidly yet clearly: “The enemy had premeditated this. The lines of knights and the locations of the Creation Realm Mages have suffered heavy hits, and communication within and outside of the barrier is cut off.

Situ Yi isn’t as weak as he seems. Not only do those Dragon-men have strong recovery, but many possess supernatural powers, warranting focused strikes. His subordinates at the Creation Realm Level likely number more than four… at least three are at the Creation Realm Level, so don’t count on Dawn Knights for reinforcement anytime soon.”

Yuliy almost couldn’t catch his breath: “What nonsense are you spewing?! How could there be three at the Creation Realm!”

“Would they use Manifestation Mages to hold Creation Realm at bay for such a grand plan? Do you think Situ Yi is as dumb as you are!” Gongsun Ce’s finger pointed at the palace, “Situ Yi went to the palace personally, their primary target must be the Queen. Their methods… yes, they’ve seized control of Shadow Mist City, unleashed the monsters inside, and trapped the Dawn Knights within!”

Gongsun Ce slapped the map, ordering: “Ensure citizen safety, reclaim barrier control, and find a way to establish contact with the knights inside. Big Brother, I’ve sent the Mechanical God Components over, and I’ll meet you near the palace. Other tasks will be handled by the knights.”

As he spoke, a house on the right shattered, a giant beast whose body was mostly occupied by crystal lunged forward, only to be chopped apart by the telekinetic blade before it could leap fully, disintegrating in mid-air. Blood fell like rain but failed to distract the young man, who continued to scribble on the map.

Yuliy was momentarily taken aback; the young man seemed like a different person. Merely minutes ago, he sat dejectedly on a bench, but now he was upright, eyes keen. In the center of the battle, he displayed no fear, grasping the situation with nothing but a few words and a fight. While this chaos was a storm for everyone else, for him, it was like a fish slipping into water.

“Yuliy, who among the high ranks is still in the capital?”

Yuliy replied solemnly: “Can’t reach any of the Creation Realm Mages, I’m the highest authority left.”

“Fuck this shit, if that old fool went MIA without participating, there must be a mole in the upper ranks…”

Gongsun Ce seemed to have sorted his thoughts. He packed away the map and tossed an earpiece to Yuliy: “Issuing orders is your job. I’ll go find Big Brother, keep in touch.”

“…Alright.”

As they spoke, an aircraft shaped like eagle wings sliced through the sky. Gongsun Ce picked up his pace, timed his leap, and landed inside the cockpit mid-flight. He had arranged the sequence of actions within such a short time, heading to the battlefield immediately after formulating the plan without wasting a second.

The knight watched the departing youth, realizing he’d been mistaken. This youth was never a puny dog, but a silent lone wolf. He lazed around in peace and Anning because there was no need to show his claws. Now that chaos had come and the fires of war were ablaze, the wolf rose, howled into the night, and charged into the fray with fierce flames, as sharp as a drawn sword.

He was never mediocre. He was the enigmatic incarnation of the Capital’s Spoken Truth, the most dangerous superpower user in the world!
